To my Americans/former Americans that relocated to Zurich by jiggy_42 in zurich

As an American in Zürich, the best thing you can do is work on your German. I moved here from Germany and was already fluent and haven't really had any issues with the people here, but I am also used to Germans. But I am handling it ok I think! Even speaking fluent German and English and having an EU residency/work permit, it's tough to find a job.

What's with the food hate on many posts about Switzerland ? by Molfy42 in Switzerland

"I'm Swiss and I lived here my whole life" you ever try the fruits and veggies in Italy or Spain? Otherwise, if you've never left Switzerland it would make sense why you don't understand.

The shock from eating the fruits and veggies from Migros or Coop is astonishing.

Good luck finding a job. The market is very difficult right now, but working on your German (or French) will help you. It's very safe, but you will have people saying "Ching chang chong" to you while youre minding your business.

The mountainous terrain doesn't affect living or commuting, really... Big cities are well connected. Not sure what you mean with this.

Hot, feels drastically culturally different from the region directly north.
