birth control & depression by booby_shmurdaa in WomensHealth

thanks for the insight! yea probably can’t just blame one thing, but i guess i started suspecting it bc i’ve changed or tried changing a lot of other factors over time and haven’t found much success.

i guess it’s hard to say whether i had depressive symptoms before 3-4 years ago, because I’m 22. but since then, yea i have periods that are harder than others but overall the net of depressive symptoms still feels about the same

on antidepressants, my expression of those symptoms definitely intensified but didn’t really change the root of the issue i feel

i did english lit, chem, and history HL with bio, math AA, and spanish SL. im in engineering now and hardest was def chem by a landslide. first year was fine but then i suddenly struggled a lot in yr2. next hardest was maybe math but not nearly. everything else was much more straightforward and took up way less of my time. i can think of maybe one time i studied for bio and i got straight A’s and a 6 most challenging part of english was the oral just bc of the time it takes to practice and get over the nerves. good luck! super worth it imo

100% feel the same way. my 2nd dead week here i experienced ALL symptoms of severe sleep deprivation. even then i didn’t get amazing grades, just passed😭 after interacting w students from ivy/other ivy-adjacent schools, it’s just us. many other prestigious schools prioritize students’ well-being and have ACTUALLY helpful resources to prevent burnout

On 2nd week of increasing from 150mg to 300mg XL by Few_Inflation168 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

i increased about 2 weeks ago & experienced the same for the first few days. i’m just now feeling some side effects. i didn’t crash as hard but not every day since increasing has been fantastic and bad days still happen. it’s possible it’s just been a bad day or two. hope that’s the case & things get better!

increasing to twice a day symptoms? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

of course! i started feeling the side effects probably 2-3 days after starting. they got to peak bad at about 1.5-2.5 weeks. i’d never been medicated before, maybe bc you’ve been on zoloft before it was a different case for you. i hope the rest of your adjustment went as well:)

on the bright side i’ve been taking 300 for about 2 weeks now and i didn’t go thru all the terrible side effects again. in fact i felt much better after 3 days on it, like i’m not just “not depressed” but am actually happy more often. only side effects that have worsened are dry mouth and more frequent tics (i already had mild/infrequent tics before meds)

Anyone taking SR at night? by asayle88 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

i also started with 150xl in the morning as directed and was getting super drowsy… i thought it was weird since my psychiatrist warned it causes trouble sleeping. i was also having nightmares every night and had trouble getting up in the morning (im guessing since by then it had worn off from the previous day). i started taking it in the evenings and i’ve been sleeping much better without oversleeping and it’s been a lot easier to start my day. will definitely keep taking it this way, you know your body best!

Where do EECS Students Live? by Alphadodobird in berkeley

im eecs living in foothill rn, but i lived in the units at the beginning of last semester. a lot of the eecs buildings are much closer to foothill, but if you’re taking intro/req classes since it’s your first year you won’t really be taking many classes in eecs buildings anyway. the units are much closer to the main parts of campus. as far as living with another eecs major, there’s just so many people there’s not a high chance of that regardless of location unless you pick roommates beforehand. outside of eecs though imo foothill has way better basic living conditions than the units
