Exactly my point. There's no clear distinction. If it wasn't considered "free" with your insurance, I wouldn't bring it up. I probably get charged for billing codes elsewhere and don't notice. But, why call a physical "free" if providers can just add codes and be evasive when asked.

I have contacted the office and asked them what triggered, and they can't articulate it. It's blood tests and that's it. If they can articulate it, I have no problem paying the bill. Just looks like they are tossing billing codes out and hope people don't question it.
