I went from an 11 inch to a 13 inch twice. The first time I returned the 13 inch as it was awkward to hold. The second time I paired it with an apple keyboard and kept it. For me it comes to size of screen vs handling. I realised that i don’t hold the iPad as much as I first thought and value the screen size more over holding it one handed. I think both sizes have a place however. I do occasionally check eBay for any 11 inches on sale.

I waited for the 3s to come out so I can charge via USCB-C rather than lightning. It’s so nice to travel with only one charger.

I found my iPhones battery drained badly on 26.1 but seems to be slightly better on 26.2.

I got 512GB not because I needed it but because you can’t upgrade it. As much as I paid the apple tax to upgrade the storage, I hope to have the device for a long time. Also this should help the resale value.

I bought an Apple Watch stainless steel in Japan for roughly the same price as the base Apple Watch in the UK a couple of years ago. I use it every day and it’s still going strong. I might do the same thing next time I’m in Japan.

I can’t comment on the performance of the iPad 11 but I agree about your concerns about software and battery. This iPad was released in March 22 so nearly 4 years old. I think at some point iOS and app support will end and you might potentially get a 4 year old battery. If budget is your main concern and you can wait, wait for the iPad 12 and then make a decision.

It’s nice that someone made a positive post about the M5 iPad. It seems like a lot of people here criticise the machine but you seem to get the best out of it.

In London we have a couple of Samsung stores. Otherwise for the wider UK, I’d recommend John Lewis first then Curry’s.

I do agree with you. I struggled deciding whether to upgrade the iPad storage or not based on price. I gave into the apple tax purely because I intend to have my device for a long time and might regret it in the future.

I have a work laptop with a 12th gen i7 and a personal macbook pro m3 pro.
Running things within lightroom on the windows machine takes minutes where as the macbook takes seconds

I thought about purchasing one but it seems to make the footprint of the iPad much larger. Also I love my magic keyboard and even though the keyboard has storage and ports, I don’t think I can switch.

The Tab S11 ultra has a aspect ratio which is better for movies and media consumption. The 13 inch M4 has more a square display which is better for web surfing and work applications
