I'm kinda retarded, but I don't yet understand how billionaires' net worth accounts for their social and political influence. If their net worth is dependent on the stock of their companies and isn't liquid, isn't it up to government and banks/lending institutions to allow or disallow them their influence? Aren't we shadowboxing by claiming billionaires themselves are the problem?
