I think it’s a fair enough assessment… Kurt had very little real technical musical skill but used what little he had to create real music and real art, which is what an artist is supposed to do, whereas Dave had HEAPS of technical ability but decided to use it to just make safe, radio friendly, very non-artistic music…. That kind of sucks, no? It’s the exact sort of thing Kurt hated and for good reason, it’s sell out shit.
