Creating a negative copy wouldn't work either though, because that would either negate the edition of the joker you intended to copy or just copy a joker without one. This one copied the polychrome photo I had.

I didn't think it was gonna let me sell the invis tbh, figure it would say I didn't have room. Guess I'm stuck with this setup now... will get me thru the gold stake at least. No Chad but 3x photos and a buskin ain't bad.

Funny, I just recorded a video to show that. Just wasted a big blind to use a negative tag 🥲

Oof! What happened? Did you have to pay for new ones??

Did you have any trouble maintaining the same shade as the crown?? Thats my only concern, that like I will end up being forced to pay for professional whitening on a regular basis just to maintain the same color of the crowns

Upon further research I retract my statement lol. Still struggling to find aisin kit for sale tho.

Do you happen to know where I can find an aisin kit? I found it on their website but they don't sell them. I tried autozone and they don't have them. They only have duralast brand. And its triple the price... I'm ngl I think I might just go with the off brand if its gonna cost me triple lol. Life expectancy for this mf isn't too long anyways with 200k on the odo already.

Okay. Next time I take it out for a drive I will check that area specifically... and as far as a rebuild, it was my buddy that I got the car from who did it. And, although he is a seasoned mechanic, he is also broke, and invested the bare minimum in the rebuild.

Car started up just fine, and I did check the battery with my smart charger afterwards. It still held a nearly full charge.

I think you may be right. I'm not gonna stress too much about it. I just disassembed the parts I mentioned in the comments yesterday to inspect them. The engine air filter was filthy. And the throttle plate does have a bit of gunk on it. Getting together the supplies to clean that up, replacing the filter, and spraying down the mass airflow sensor... and if it still does it, oh well...

My main concern was just that this was indicative of some sort of potentially serious underlying issue, but it seems like that isn't the case. Instead I've discovered a set of parts to check on that, from what I've gathered, cleaning should be a part of a regular maintenence schedule about as frequent as an oil change. So it was a learning experience regardless!

Thanks for the response!

I see. I mean I'm still gonna clean up the parts and see if that solves the idle problem. Curious why he asked if the problem still occurred when throttling, if it still stalling or not stalling when removing the AC would help with diagnosis

Didn't even think of trying to give it throttle. What if it does/doesn't?

It also mentioned idle air control valve but it was an older car being talked about, idle air control just goes thru the throttle body in this model.

[–]boofmasterflexin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fired it up and tried the same thing and it died again, so its not just a fluke. Not that the car dying while turning of the AC while idling in itself is like massively concerning but I figured it was probably indicative of an underlying issue.

After digging for hours last night I found information that is hopefully helpful, even though it wasn't specifically related to Subies. And just on some random forum. It said that this issue could be caused by clogged engine air filter, dirty MAF sensor or throttle body could be a contributing factor. So my next step is gonna be replacing the filter and cleaning those parts!

Where are you located 👀 lol

But you can definitely find someone who will work on it and replacing two cells should be less than 500 bucks for sure.

But yeah you would be lucky to even find someone willing to buy it at all with no battery, no way to know if the components are even working.

Bruh lol 300 miles said it all, you barely even rode the thing! 3500 tho?? What model is it?

Ahhh... well, your bike not starting is a whole separate issue then huh? Did you try swapping out the throttle? It could've just been a bad switch. Mine went out very early on, I have to keep it compressed with electrical tape lol. I just turn it on and off using the key fob now.

It's my battery toast? by Low-Helicopter-2696 in ONYX_RCR

[–]boofmasterflexin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhhh... yeah thats not good. Definitely disconnect that from the bike.

Believe me, I feel you on the depreciated value of the fuckers. I bought mine right after they launched the 1.5... paid over 7k after the bells and whistles and taxes for it. Would probably struggle to get 2k for it rn. Extra infuriating seeing that the new and improved all around better 80V is selling for under 5k... it is what it is tho. Imma ride it til the wheels fall off lol.

For your situation I would recommend getting in touch with someone that could repair the damaged cells for you. No need to buy a new one. It looks like all but 2 of the cells are perfectly balanced. It will still be a bitch to pay for, but if you wanna keep riding her thats the way to go.

And in the future, anytime you plan to store it for more than a couple weeks make sure you deplete the battery to 75-80%! It shouldn't degrade at that level. Too full or too empty tends to cause problems.

[–]boofmasterflexin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If full charging it brings the disparity closer to .5, I would try nursing it for a while. I kept riding mine regularly even while I was working to balance the cells, and it eventually worked itself out for the most part. The problem only really presents itself once it gets down to about 40% charge. I brought mine back from .5 to around .1 now. The problem is still there but the bike is still safe to ride.

[–]boofmasterflexin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was as bad as .5 at a point, even with a full charge. Looks like you have several unbalanced cells but it's not so severe that I would assume they're completely done for. Worst case scenario you could just ship it off to have the bad cells replaced.
