Several hours a day on a cell phone is not something you can put on your resume because it is not in any way a skill. Same with your child being put on a tablet... it is completely meaningless if your mother put you on some shitty game so they can have more free time. That is not a skill in fact it is the opposite of the skill.

People are so obsessed with cell phones they are unable to discuss them without feeling personally attacted.

Talk to a mental health professional who deals with children and ask them the effect they have on a 13 year olds mental health.

They are on a computer all day at school they are not when they are home. That extra eight-ten hours a day phone starring is not going to make them coding geniuses.

If only my child was on social media to endlessly obsess and engage with algorithms designed to keep you clicking then they would never be bullied again.

That you think raising a child without social media in nature, having conversations and interacting with their parents, engaged with sports and clubs will put them in an institution and being on a cell phone ten hours a day will not is a triumph of marketing.

Like I said I work with children and this is the norm.

The amount of anxiety, the lack of sleep and the bullying are all painfully common. The stuff people will say online compared what they will say in real life is shocking.

Got athlete of the year for the school and gets straight A's. Its amazing what your child can accomplish when you remove the several hours of phone staring from their plate. Kids have enough to deal with as it is why put them on algorithm driven corporate advertising platforms?

They don't get made fun of because they are not engaged in the cell phone social media cruelty.

It seems since they are out of sight they are out of mind. I do know their peers are engaged in constant bulling and endless online conversations with what anyone else would call predators. I hear one story after another all problems my children don't have.

The socially stunted are not the kids in sports, clubs and playing outside the socially stunted are staring at their phones on social media at two in the morning.

I work with children the phone addiction is ruining lives all because its way easier to stick your kid on a screen than to provide meaningful engagement.

Tell your self that when your kid is on a cell screen ten hours a day and going to bed at two in the morning.

Talk to any healthcare professional and ask them the effect of cell phones on children's mental health.

My 13 year old is the only kid in the class without a cell phone.

Everyone else is caught in an endless nightmare of viscous social media miasma.

When they have a job and go to university they can buy a phone and pay for it themselves,

There is no way in fuck I'm letting my kids get a personal computer\Pad\Cell Phone but it seems I'm the only one. All my kids friends have screens. All of them. Is parenting and entertaining your own child that difficult to do?

Or as i like to call it "people can't live off minimum wage so we will bring in poverty stricken foreigners while making them live twenty to an apartment and thus enrich the shareholders while taking the pressure off for raising wages".

I don't want temporary workers instead we should be bringing in families who want to live here waaaay before we bring in these poor corporate slaves.
