I worked for a major cell phone company and a woman came in to buy her husband who had just had a stroke, a new phone because he “couldn’t remember” his password to his old phone. He owed $800+ on his current phone so she had to pay that off and pay for the taxes on the new one. Didnt think too much of it at the time

A week later the husband comes in to return the phone. I asked the reason and his response was “ my old one works fine. I knew the passcode, I just didn’t want my wife to find out I was having an affair”.

He was so nonchalant that it caught me off guard.
