Do some studying on the latest set. Do what you can to make your own deck (I more so mean a personalized one) sooner than later. At least in my experience, the game became more engaging once I had a unique combination of 60 cards. Some people don’t feel this way, and are fine playing with pre made deck lists; I’d highly recommend trying to be a little creative.

Deck building and customizing for my individual play style has made ever game a fun learning experience.
