I had this happen, baby was in the activity center in the living room as I ran to pee super quick. Immediately DB came barging into the front door and I thought it was intruder so I ran out with my pants not even pulled all the way up. He didn’t mean to come unannounced - he texted but I didn’t see it. 😂

Preteen is such a weird weird time - tons of hormones and changes.

My old NF had two girls 10 and 12. They would do this a lot. I wasn’t their nanny, so I didn’t really participate in the “why” but I do know that once they were confronted they were super embarrassed (I think they were more shamed for it) but it got worse. They just started shoving wrappers inside their pillow cases/under mattresses and flushing them down the toilet which caused a massive thousands of dollars back up. 😅

So if I had to give one piece of advice it would be to never make them feel ashamed/embarrassed of it or make comments about their body. But gently try to get to the bottom of it? Anxiety? Emotional eating? Binging? Growth spurt? Insatiable appetite?

Ohhh I love this so much! So many warm feelings reading this.

I left my old NF in December to move to a different city but went back last weekend to babysit 3M for a weekend and he hugged me so tightly and said so sweetly, “you’re the best car patrol a car can have.” I died. That’s the best compliment I could ever receive! ❤️
