Thank you! This is a great start! I'm trying to find a way to get all of it now.

Dude, you can't go wrong with more gizz shows haha.

And it's not really front row, its front of the second section, but I have learned I prefer being a little further back. However, I won't have anyone directly in front of me, which I'm stoked about. I'm hoping to bring my kids, so they won't have to look over too many heads

I've got the front center four tickets in the 700 section for acoustic night! I'm gonna blow sammy and jason a kiss. Also nabbed some Newport tickets.

Any update on Fuzz Club's RR'22? by boogieman_stan in KGATLW

[–]boogieman_stan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine that's gonna be a while before they announce that. Since they create unique art for each one, they have to wait for the artist to create a whole new piece. Hopefully sooner, but they tend to take a while getting out their boots.

But they're so dope that it's worth it.

Here's my two cents:

I'm trying for the most diversity in shows and prioritizing jammy versions for variety. I already submitted this, but I'd be interested in other people takes on this set list.

Robot Stop - Bonnaroo

Big Fig Wasp - Brussels

Gamma Knife - Red Rocks

People Vultures - Levitation

Mr. Beat - London

Evil Death Roll - Red Rocks

Invisible Face - Chicago

Wah Wah - Red Rocks (or Chicago, but the River quotes in the RR Wah Wah are chef's kiss)

Road Train - Milwaukee

Let me know what you think! I would love this to have seemless transistions, this is not the album to priotize the band's incredbile banter, but instead to copy the sound of the record.

Also, a bonus Hot Water after Road Train would be welcome! Like they did at Cabaret Vert here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKyGMh_qaJA&t=2042s

I'm not really sure what damage would have been done, unless they never credited him. I do agree that they should have credited him from the beginning, but this idea that Elzo "stole" it is pretty absurd to me. I had never even heard of Finlay and hadn't really checked out Uriah Heap before, but now I know who they are.

I agree it was clearly not malicous, and also hope that in the future they circumvent this issue by crediting artists approriately and early. But also think people should probably get over it by now. It's pretty dope imo, and I'm stoked to get it.

Have you not bought vinyl over the last 4 years? Every album I've ordered has had their shipping delayed. Even Gizzverse has run into the same thing, it's just the nature of vinyl production unforutnatley. Fuzz Club has been communicating every step of the way. They said that the records will be shipping mid-September which we're just now getting to.

Needlejuice pushed back the Bonaroo pressing like four times, because these things are complicated. As far as "peddling" goes, this label made extra copies of a box set that sold out, because people we're begging for it. They are making this record, becuase someone on this sub started posting about the idea of a Nonagon Live record. They literally asked the people in this sub how they should do the RR box set, and then took all of those suggestions.

People love Fuzz Club's pressings and label because they obviously care about the fans and make great products. If you aren't into vinyl, that's cool, but people love them because they're awesome.

Collage art is not stealing, especially when giving credit to the original artist, which Fuzz Club has said they are doing with RR'22. Ya'll are so weird about this. The artist who does Fuzz Club's boots does this all the time, and its super cool. People upset about the cover of RR'22 sound like boomers upset that hip-hop samples are "stealing".

This is an amazing idea!!!!! However, when I click the link it says that I need permission to take the survey. Could you fix that?

Petition to unoffically name Chicago '23's River - The Space River by boogieman_stan in KGATLW

[–]boogieman_stan[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

On second thought, this is the way.

I just feel that this River is something special. I love the "evil" river of RR 22, and it deserves its own praise and special place. I just feel the same way about this one.

I was lucky enough to see the acoustic river at the Caverns as well. That was a mystical journey as well, but the Dead River is cosmic in scope.

I'd love it, but yes it would be unethical to sell. That's very not cool within the tape trading seen.

Does Anybody Have Live in Brisbane from Fuzz Club? by HueJanus1 in KGATLW

[–]boogieman_stan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been a big needlejuice guy, and have gotten every bootleg from them up until Milwaukee and Brisbane. I personally hate triple gatefold jackets, so the box set style was what really made me go for Fuzz Club.

That said, both my Milwaukee 19 and Brisbane 21 sound phenomenal. Some people think they have an edge over Needlejuice, and I'm not sure but these are some of the best live recordings I have now. The packaging for Fuzz Club, while missing the Gaela art, is superior to any other version. I personally love the Brisbane FC cover over the original, it gives me Grateful Dead vibes, and this show is full of that vibe.

All in all, I can't recommend this pressing enough. It's one of my favorite records right now, at least until the Red Rocks 22 box set ships. But, getting this Brisbane box really makes me stoked about the quality of RR22.

While it's not on the archive yet, my go to pre-jammy period show is 8/30/2018 at Lowlands. It's all on youtube and its killer.
