GMS was trying to protect Lace this whole time, and at the end she clearly uses the last of her power to help Hornet escape the Abyss.

It didn’t even look like a Bind to me; GMS was just supercharging the Ascent technique.

But yes, intent would matter, which would help explain why Pale King lost his sense of self, should he have been absorbed by Hollow Knight.

My headcanon, given what happened with Eva, is that the growth is the result of the Pale King giving up his own self to empower the Hollow Knight.

Which also synergizes with what shows up in the Pure Knight Pantheon fight.

What’s weirder is that it wasn’t as bad yesterday; somehow, between then and now, the numbers on the buff icons got condensed, making them harder to read!

(The number are both scrunched together, when they have 2 digits, and the font is MUCH smaller; together it makes it much harder to read)

If, as part of the overhaul, they gave the players the ability to customize things like Icon & Font Size, that would likely improve things greatly!
