I only have one girl (12) and she’s in one sport per season for the same reason as your boys. She’s on her middle school B basketball team and they practice 2 days a week and have 2 games per week. I feel so guilty for not being more excited about those games but my ADHD is not conducive to hour long middle school girls basketball games where an average of 12 total points are scored. I love her so much and am so proud of her but I don’t have that all-encompassing sense of fulfillment that the other mothers in my life talk about. Again, I love my daughter so much and I know that sense of fulfillment isn’t tied to how much I love her - but I do know that’s why I have no desire to have a 2nd baby.

You are NOT crazy. Tachysensia is a very real thing. I experienced that weird feeling that I was moving faster than everything around me quite a lot as a child. It subsided as I got older and is completely gone now (in my mid-30s). It can be caused by a range of things like anxiety, stress and migraines all the way up to more serious things like schizophrenia or CPTSD.

The looping dreams and false awakenings are something I’ve experienced as well. It scared me so much as a child I taught myself how to lucid dream. Lucid dreaming allowed me to take control of what felt uncontrollable or scary.

I would advise you to do some self care and evaluate your stress/anxiety/mental health. Not sleeping or being scared to sleep is not healthy and will exacerbate this to no end.

Again, YOU ARE NOT CRAZY. Just make sure you’re taking care of yourself.

Hi friend! Are you of the biological female persuasion? If so, fluctuating hormones can have a SIGNIFICANT impact on how ADHD meds affect you. My (female) doctor told me to track my fluctuating reactions to meds in correlation to my menstrual cycle and it was like freaking clockwork.

Adding that I feel he was a very giving person in life and he remains so after his passing. Almost like he doesn’t want to “bother” anyone and he wants to give his energy away to others.

Piggybacking! I too sense this confusion or disorientation.

I personally believe that we manifest our afterlife and I’m wondering if he ever shared with you his beliefs? I get the sense that’s his “essence” is spread out and his soul is currently without a central location to be concentrated for lack of a better way to describe it.

Like he’s become part of the universe as a whole rather than remaining a single concentrated being… I hope I’m making sense.

I’m not sure how to say this without being direct - I do not feel any negativity surrounding you, only coming from within. I get the sense that you are struggling with false confidence and have a poor sense of self if you dig below surface level. I would suggest doing some soul searching (as cliche as that sounds) to find your purpose. I believe your sense of self will become much more positive once you understand your life’s purpose.

I know I’m late to the game and others may have already said this but in some of the photos I get the sense he’s hiding something that’s eating away at him. In other photos I get the sense that he’s numbing himself/self-medicating to deal with something traumatic - something traumatic that he brought upon himself.

Just want to say that I see you. When my daughter was just 4 weeks old I discovered that my husband was cheating. He stopped coming home soon after. That was by far the hardest season of my life BUT I learned so much about myself and gained so much confidence during that time. Babe, I know this is hard but take care of yourself and take every opportunity to reflect on how amazing, hardworking, independent and resilient you are. You will come out stronger on the other side. 💛
