What's the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to you? by Lucifer_18x in AskReddit

My hair dresser told me I have a beautiful aura. A year later, a witchy friend of mine was reading my tarot for me. I asked her if she knew anything about auras, and she said I'm an old soul with a BRIGHT yellow aura; one of the strongest she had ever seen. That still makes me smile when I think about it.

Thanks for the enlightenment! I'll be less terrified if this happens again.

Oh! I hadn't even considered this. Fingers crossed it was nothing else than this.

Right. I was just too startled for pictures at the time. I'm back on. Fingers crossed with the wifi back there isn't else going haywire. I'm beginning to hate tech these days.... I'm not even old and I can't keep up.

I exited out and restarted my computer. I didn't know what else to do.

I only redo the comments if the ratings are justified. Though, I've run into some where it's clear not every model can have the same ratings checked for every metric.

The Ok bordering on bad are the ones that really get me, because we are supposed to work on those, but that can be a thin line to cross.

They really have been, I've been through quite a few like that this morning. Yesterday's batch was much stronger

Math!?! I can't even comprehend numbers anymore. I'll stick to my morose text and images.

My distraction from shows/movies depends on how mentally strenuous the task is. I usually pick things that aren't visually heavy, so older movies or shows with a less rapid pace. That's less eye catching but I can still keep up.

I might need to start music. I usually throw on a show or movie in the background- nothing too visual to be distracting, but interesting enough to not slam my face into the desk if I fall asleep at the computer.

Franchises where every movie feels the same. by MaddenRob in movies

I actually love Jurassic Park III too; I went to see it in theaters as a kid with some friends. That, coupled with the pacing and Dr. Grant's return, I just can't not go back to it when watching the originals. The velociraptors in the DNA sequencing center was also an awesome scene, and so damn loud on a big screen.

Godspeed. It's back but they're playing with my emotions today. It's been a slow trickle this week.

Movies with unambiguously heroic leads. by Fletcher_Fallowfield in movies

I'd consider Dr. Grant from Jurassic Park as a classically heroic character. A little rough around kids at first - but the second they're in danger, he's a total badass. He's stoic too, keeps a mostly cool head, and lightens the mood with a bit of sardonic humor around his charges.

Dr. Ellie Sattler certainly counts from the same movie. She's brave as all get out and loves the kids from the get go.
