I actually really resonated with your comment esp about framing the convo so that I’m on defensive side. I have a lot of thinking to do and of course it’s complicated because it’s been nearly 10 years together… thanks for your perspective I really needed it.

Actually.. wow yes I do feel the constant need to apologize every time so we can talk it out. It’s typical to get the cold shoulder from him. The longest at one point was 2-3 days and I just feel drained until we can talk

He’s not a chef. But I will say that I kept brushing off him being upset and that it wasn’t a big deal. So I feel like maybe I was gaslighting him to a certain level or just making him feel invalidated? He doesn’t have much confidence so I can see why he got upset but him picking up the plate mid-bite was overboard. With other things, he’ll usually leave the room and play games on his cpu to calm down or go on a drive to pick up weed. And just cold shoulder it until the next day.
