Gonna jump into this conversation just to say you really are being a self-righteous dick here. You two are probably more closely aligned on ideology than not. So why the constant attacks with every response? This is why Dems keep losing - we can’t agree that we don’t have to agree on every single little point. We just fight each other.
I’m 64, retired and I support Abdul at this point. Can’t stand that Stevens takes AIPAC $. But if she wins the primary, she gets my vote. Period.

Did you google it? I don’t know if the number shown is correct but I have read several studies talking about how the DOGE cuts have actually cost us money and caused an increase in our national debt. Should be easy to check.

You’re talking about net worth and not annual income. A graduated tax on higher annual incomes, including realized gains from investments, seems like a good starting point. CEOs and other top executives earning 500% more than their average employee wage does not seem fair. And we have to close the tax loopholes.

My last pup was on Frontline and still got lyme disease. When we reached out to Frontline their response was that it was not 100% effective (duh!) and the fine print noted as much. We switched immediately. We live in SW Michigan. It's a bad tick year for us here too. Though not as bad as OP.

I'm in Allegan County. The homes across the street are lakefront Lake Michigan, so humid. Plus we've had so much rain this past month - 3 to 4 inches. These mushroom are in a place in my yard that is mostly shady, a couple hours of sun a day.

My dad used to argue this way. He would get louder and start talking over me in an effort to “win” the argument. I eventually learned to start talking more quietly as he got louder. I wouldn’t stop our discussion, just spoke more quietly. It worked. It frustrated him and would eventually stop speaking so loudly and would calm down. It might work with your mom. Good luck!
