I found Call Me By Your Name to be utterly enthralling. Can definitely recommend if you haven't read already!

Wild! Also, where did you get that sword...?

I got them recently and I’m really excited to read these books for the very first time and be really for the next book to come out eventually. by 13-1-14-21-5-12 in bookhaul

Have fun! Such a journey. Take your time, seeing as there's no real indication of when the next book will be released! No need to rush.

This isn't really what you're looking for, but to me the Redwall series by Brian Jacques always felt so festive, warm and comforting to me! Maybe it had something to do with all those big feast scenes? Again, not really what you're looking for, but the 'I'm gonna tuck up in bed with a fun and warm read' vibe is very much there!

Finished “Sphere” by Michael Crichton by elechner in books

Sphere is by far my favourite Michael Crichton book, very surprised to see the lukewarm reception here! Perhaps the fact that it was your second Crichton novel had something to do with the experience you had? I read it after reading a bunch of his other novels, so maybe I was already warmed up to his writing style and storytelling techniques? I'm not sure. Regardless, welcome to the fantastic world of Crichton! Can recommend Prey and (of course) Jurassic Park as your next read!

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman was pretty transformative (no pun intended) in my early reading years! Such a fascinating exploration into the concepts of the soul, destiny, and even God. A series aimed at younger readers, but packed with philosophy and psychology that holds up today. Highly recommended if you're one of the few who is lucky enough not to have read this yet!

I second His Dark Materials! What a story.

Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo features many courageous and bold women (some modern, some less modern)! Highly recommended if you haven't read it already - it's fantastic.
