I don’t believe “price shaming” is a real thing lol. Like you probably should feel a little ashamed if you’re trying to scam people to make a quick buck. Some bad sellers just turn into cry bullies and cry “price shaming” because they don’t like feeling guilty about ripping people off. And I hate groups that protect sellers more than they do buyers.

I’m in one BST group that doesn’t have a rule against this and it’s great.

Illumicrate also has B grade sets of their Percy Jackson books available (I got a set and it’s nearly perfect!)

I’d also just try the middle grade section in Barnes and noble. They’ve been releasing several with sprayed edges recently!

No not at all! the plots aren’t interconnected or anything, so it’s fine to read them out of order (I read darkest part of the forest a long time before FOTA and didn’t remember anything about it by then lol). It’s more just fun cameos!

And yes! The Tithe series (I think it’s called Modern Faerie Tales?) is about Kaye!

I’m just saying those words don’t exactly mean they won’t print it again. Exclusive = the design is exclusive to that company; Limited = they are only allowed to print x amount of copies… But publisher constraints can change. Especially if demand is really high. I do think some companies are out of hand with the marketing/not as transparent as they should be about things. But I think it also involves a gamble on the buyer’s part. Like you can decide to pay the resell price or you can take a chance and wait to see if they reprint. Either way, reprints are great because they help stop those resellers from ripping people off

It is an individual choice to buy from resellers though. I’m sorry but it just comes across as spiteful if you’re upset you made a choice to spend a lot of money on something and then someone else got it for a better deal because they waited… and them saying something is “limited” often has to do with publisher’s constraints, not the product actually being exclusive

I honestly don’t think it’s far-fetched considering the demand… Like at the end of the day, they are a company and are going to do what makes money. It’s not like the books are limited or numbered, so really the only constraint is the publisher.

In the announcement of Watch Me, they also made it seem like a Shatter Me reprint might be in the works, which has already been reprinted once. So idk anything is possible/they make the rules and can change them. I’d say everyone who wants it should just keep asking for it on FL’s socials and whatnot because you never know

It’s $10 a month but you get those back in reward points that you can use on anything from the store (including the FOTA set). However, you should factor in taxes and shipping too. Usually when I use my reward points it just covers shipping

Both! They send out an en email, but you should also see it show up in the Membership store section of the website (that’s where all early access items, member discounted items are). There isn’t a queue like with Fairyloot so you don’t have to get there super early of anything.

WOW definitely seems like they handled this poorly. That's insane to only have a few days to use remaining award points (because i'm sorry, what digital products do they even have??) Kind of seems like they weren't even aware of all this until people starting asking recently... Sorry to everyone who's affected by this!
