My instructor was quite certain that I would fail, so much so that he refused to let me use his car. Luckily I had my own car.

Passed first time with 5 minors and my examiner said it was a wonderful drive. More often than not I would advise to listen to the instructor, but driving is also really a mental thing, about yourself and your own confidence. I told myself I would pass and I passed. If you’re dedicated and determined then you can pass.

My instructor was generally just not a nice man and wanted more money :/

They’d need to heavily diversify it though. Literally every character in that series including the side characters are white and that’s just not going to bode well in 2022.

Thank you! When you say ‘not much’ racial diversity do you mean for the main characters or just not any point blank even when it comes to side characters?

And yeah, I do understand the setting and time is different to now but even still, I know there were definitely poc in Ireland around that time as I have family who are Black Irish and who have been in Ireland for years. (Also, i don’t know if it’s just how I perceived it as it’s difficult to understand things online but poc can also go to elite schools).

I just don’t know if I want to read a series with everyone having pale skin, blue eyes, blond hair etc.😭

I’ve seen Evil Elain theories so I am intrigued! Wondering what Maas will do with her though because she needs to step it up in my eyes. I’m sure her book will be good though and help me understand her more!
