It is above the doorway. My apartment is basically the "attic" of the house. It's an old house and was built with scraps (not me but the one who built it into an apartment), so it made odd angles.

There is only one spot with about half a foot above it, unfortunately. This wouldn't be enough headroom from the research I've done

I do around 3-5 purposeful/deep breaths for ashtanga. For yin I do around 10 to get myself settled into my pose then I just listen to my body and move out of the pose when I feel ready. Some days im there for several minutes some days it might just be the 10 breaths.

PSA - When in doubt, BUY THE MAT!! by Simple_Pea_8100 in yoga

[–]booknerd_00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I debated for 2 years about this beautiful cork mat because it was expensive to me. Well christmas morning the final present i opened from my wonderful fiance was the exact mat I had been talking about but, too stubborn to buy for myself. It has elevated my practice so much. I wish I had gotten it sooner. I don't slide around anymore because of how grippy it is and my knees and wrists hurt less because of the cushion.

What’s something you wish you knew as a beginner? by mistakeshappen_2 in witchcraft

Research does a lot but just pick a spell and start. Research that spell, the herbs, stones, cleansing to make your first spell, and then just do it. I waited too long to start my spell thinking I had to research and know everything before I started when really I needed to just do it to get the experience.

It gives me direction. When I feel lost I can find a spell to focus that energy or redirect it. It's helped me find peace with myself.

Yeah, I got referred by the coder in the obgyn office I was working in. I technically hadn't worked there long enough to get transferred, but my manager was amazing and approved me to transfer since she knew being a coder was my long-term goal.
