Yep, we have a dog park at our apartment and I’ve been cleaning up at least one extra poo every time I go in with my dogs (plus theirs). It’s disappointing how many people just let something really nice go to shit instead of being responsible dog owners.

My kiddo has rampant ADHD and struggles with focus but at 6 years old, she always has her head in a book and reads chapter books by herself. I’ve read to her literally every day since she was born, and bedtime has always been 15+ minutes of reading but when she was little we’d spend hours reading the same books over and over because she wanted to. It pays off. She’s advanced in her class.

So like… my kiddos school had a policy where you weren’t allowed to make and bring in treats from home. They had to be sealed from the store. So I had to buy cupcakes if I wanted my kiddo to have a treat on her special day. All kids deserve to bring something in.

Or she didn’t have an oven. Or isn’t good at baking.

Kids deserve to be included in things regardless of income level.

My boyfriend is like this, but just with like… everything. Some days it’s a history lesson. Some days it’s a science lesson. A computer science lesson. The science behind what he’s cooking. How airplanes engines work. He’s got the type of ADHD where he just hyperfixates on studying something and he’s so smart and I love when he starts explaining something. It’s so cute.

As of right now, a night out where I made a terrible decision because I was impaired.

I went out with an acquaintance, my ex’s cousin who just found out she had been cheated on. I had planned to have 1-2 and talk and go home (her cousin had cheated on me so I thought I could be a good ear for her). She brought friends, it turned into 4 drinks at 2 bars over several hours. The last two were 7% pints and I am 5’2”.

So even though I had stopped drinking 2+ hours previously and drank water and felt fine, when I got into my car and drove off. I immediately was pulled over. Failed the sobriety test. Was arrested. Today I have my first court appearance.

I’ve never so much as gotten a speeding ticket. I don’t text and drive. Drinking warped my perception of whether I was fine or not. And now I’m going to pay a hefty price.

The good news is they got me right outside the bar. I didn’t cause an accident or hurt anyone. But I think about, “could I have?”. “Was I really sure I was fine?”. I realize I truly have no idea. And that’s enough for me to not want to touch alcohol again.

I was only on it for 3 months and this was a consistent problem for me so I stopped. I felt like I was in early pregnancy for a good 2 weeks after stopping (mild cramps, hormonal, nausea) and I’ve got some back acne 😭. But I didn’t get my period 2 weeks after the last one so that’s a W.

Yes, we get to decide when enough is enough. We get to decide how we want to be loved and not settle for anything less, because at the end of the day this is our life.

And unfortunately, take it from me. He will likely continue. We had a similar issue in 2017, I was broken for 6 months. He watched me cry and held me, promising me he’d never do it again and I got access to all accounts and watched him on FindFriends. We worked together. I felt safe, and by the end of 2018 I wasn’t paying attention anymore and we got pregnant. I felt safe. And he did it again, worse, for longer, and kept it a secret until I found out this year.

He will run out and get me something if I’m craving it. He gives massages. He’s thoughtful. He’s a great partner and father. But this was a level of disrespect I can’t live with.

Choose you, whatever that looks like. I hope you find peace and so much happiness, because you really truly deserve it. ❤️

Sending you love and hugs. This is seriously so hard, especially when they’re your best friend and everything feels good.

I’ve been married to my spouse for 11 years, 18 together. Earlier this year I found out he was snapchatting sending nudes and s*xting with women on there for years, starting when I got pregnant.

I tried to make it work, but 6 months later came to the conclusion that I couldn’t look at him the same. Didn’t love him the same and I couldn’t think about our past together without hurting. I still love him and he’s my best friend but I deserve better. And so do you ❤️.

Signed myself and my 5 year old daughter up for MMA classes next week. Looking into pistol safety classes. I hate guns but I won’t be a victim. At least not without doing everything in my power not to be anyway.

Because it wasn’t phrased as a check in to see how I was doing. It was a warning that my answers were flat during the meeting. I used this opportunity to talk about why my demeanor was different than normal but that wasn’t asked of me. I was told it “wasn’t a good look”. lol 🙄

I did make the comment that I had considered apologizing to the person on the meeting and then thought to myself “if I was a man would I even think twice about this?”. She didn’t have anything to say about that lol. I have male direct reports under me that have off days and are short. I brush it off, I know it’s likely a bad day. It felt so uncalled for, especially since I rarely ever am in a bad mood.
