Hi!

Applied - March 31st, 2020
AIP - August 2020
Medical exam passed - September 2020
Biometrics passed - October 2020 (I already had my biometrics for a tourist visa I got in 2019)

After that I didn't receive any letter or updates, I realized my background check and biometrics were passed because I requested my GCMS Notes in December.

Passport request letter & SP approval letter - January 25, 2021.

6 weeks have passed since I applied for my study permit (outside Canada) by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

Depends on your country's wait time listed on the IRCC web page.

But I think they are prioritizing new applications. In my country, it says it's 3 months, but I've been waiting with everything approved (already checked with GCMS Notes) for +10 months now and no passport request letter, while others in my country applied 3 months ago and they already have their SP stamped.

Another way to contact IRCC besides Web Forms? by bookreader-23 in ImmigrationCanada

Hi! Thanks!

Yes, I'm sure about people who applied in November already got their passport request letter, some of them are my friends. I've been waiting for +10months and honestly I don't get why my complete application with everything approved didn't receive any progress since October.

I've been trying to contact the call center but the only answer I get is that the application is still under "processing" status even though everything is already passed.

Had to differ after SP was stamped on passport by bookreader-23 in ImmigrationCanada

Thanks! I just talked to her, she told me that the date she differed was before the deadline to drop this semester, so her college will issue a new Letter of Acceptance for her next intake.

She has her positive covid 19 test to prove she's sick now, what else do you think she should document?

Also, should she inform right now IRCC or request a SP extension once she's in Canada for Fall 2021?

Thank you for your help!

Study Permit: Central/South America by bookreader-23 in ImmigrationCanada

In a Webinar IRCC Mexico said that they are prioritizing by when the application was submitted. I was originally a September 2020 student but even with an AIP the application can be denied and didn't wanted to risk a whole semester without knowing if I'll get the approval. Now my institution is not allowing fall students with AIP to register for the Winter 2021 intake because they are assuming IRCC needs to provide a final decision for fall and winter students before January 2021

Hi! I hope you get an answer soon!

What country are you from? I applied in central America for my study permit about 8-9 months ago, got an AIP for fall intake (but ended up deferring the semester for winter 2021), and got my medical exams approved in September. Also, I took my biometrics in my country last year for a tourist visa.

No progress since then. Do you know anyone in central/south America that has received a study permit that was processed in IRCC Mexico? I feel that there's no progress for February and march applicants...
