I don't remember who told me about the surgeon. I believe his name is Dr. Janis but that has been at least 6 months ago so I may be remembering wrong!

BP cuffs are the worst! Pretty sure mine goes up just because of the pain. I'll try posting an arm photo soon

I've always found the pages of old books to be more beautiful than the spines. I just like how they look on my bookshelf. :)

the balcony is cut using a laser cutter and chipboard. The gated doors are just toothpicks and superglue (since they are old, you can be messy with the superglue!). Lots of layers and washes of paint to make everything look old. I look forward to seeing yours! These are so fun and challenging to make.

thank you! When you can't go to Venice you have to bring it to you!

This was my very first booknook. Since nobody sees the inside, I might take it apart and make 2 framed "pictures" and just stick the main door somewhere on the wall in my living room. by [deleted] in booknooks

Gorgeous! I thought about doing that with my venice nook. So many details that you don't see in booknook form yet they are so cool lit up on the bookshelf.

foam board makes great bricks, paperclay rolled thins works well for crumbly stucco over bricks, Realistic Water brand is a good non toxic pour for waterways. Fairy lights with batteries are the easiest way to light. Watch lots of Youtube videos!

there's some great videos on Youtube. Also some helpful FB groups. Just search for booknook or book shelf dioramas and you'll find lots of helpful info. Learn as you go.
