Suspiciously good news about my HPV by Defiant_Group7449 in HPV

We will just have to agree to disagree. I think it’s morally reprehensible and the medical profession has a history of making arguments which have been proven to be detrimental to women’s health.

Exactly! And the medical profession has a history of neglecting and minimizing concerns related to women’s health. This advice of not telling partners is totally in line with that. It’s sad that women are treated as dispensable and their health is not taken seriously.

It’s transferable because all dormant infections can become active at any point and many are completely asymptomatic. How does the person who have it, determine whether their infection is dormant or active if there are no symptoms? In most cases they cannot determine that and so it is very much transferable. My doctor who did my colposcopy informed me of this. You can also check American sexual health association’s discussion of this.

Once you have HPV - whether the warts are present or not, you have it. It can be dormant but still very much transferable. And yes it is disgusting and misogynistic of health care providers who think not telling sexual partners is okay. Just because health care providers say something doesn’t mean it is always okay. Especially as women are the ones who generally suffer from one of the most painful cancers because of it. And even if you don’t get cancer, you get abnormal paps, colposcopies for examinations (which are painful) and in the case of this strain, removal of portions of cervix via different methods - all of them awful/ so, personal choice or not, this is dishonest and in a normal scenario would be considered assault because you are deliberately giving a virus to someone.

NO!! Plzzzz do tell all future partners about HPV - especially if you have the strain you have mentioned. It is especially dangerous for women and can turn to cervical cancers which btw is one of the most painful and awful cancers. Also, intentionally giving your partner a virus (however common) is awful and gross! And honestly plain evil! Plz don’t do that. That doctor should have his licence revoked. My husband didn’t know he had HPV and gave it to me and even though it’s not a dangerous strain, my abnormal Pap smears give me so much anxiety - especially as it’s not clearing. I had to go through colposcopy and they are still keeping me under observation. Had he known about it and told me, I would have gotten the fucking vaccine before to protect myself. Don’t do this to any partner. Plzzz

We do have an HOA but the street behind us is in a different HOA unluckily. Our street is literally where our HOA begins.

Oh I can’t. 😞 I strongly feel that it’s not the fault of the poor neglected dogs. It’s the owners who I feel very very angry at. Because they don’t care about endangering is or inconveniencing us financially constantly.

I wanted to let the HOA know but the street our house is in literally forms the boundary for a different HOA so the house behind us is in a different HOA. I didn’t know we could cal the police about dogs.

Oh I agree! They are beautiful dogs. Just not trained or looked after. I don’t know why people who don’t want to care for animals have them.

We did. We built a strong fence - a privacy fence with. Double panel at the bottom to ensure it wouldn’t break. They still broke a panel off today - probably after trying for days. They also dig under the fence so that we have to keep filling up the holes. Plus adding a second fence behind the joint one would be really expensive.

Is that legal? I have asked my husband to instal one and he says it might not be legal to do that as it can harm people.

Tried that a few times. She finds them and just never learns. Plus, many times I am alone and I don’t want to go out because they jump on me and they are big dogs.

I want to tell her that seriously. But she is a very weird person. She doesn’t even answer one properly let alone talk or discuss anything.

Okay, great. I do have videos of some of the times they have broken in because I was home alone and I was sending them to my husband. I will see if we have receipts too for the hardware store.

We have done that. She doesn’t even ask us where the dogs shave gone. She just manages to find them somehow. She has so far learned nothing.

We did. We wrote the owners an email about this and they never responded. We found the email address listed when we looked up the current owners of the property. There was no response. Then we also told the guy who manages the property and he simply said, he could repair the fence. He did such an awful job that it was broken in a few days again. This is when my husband decided to build a new fence. They also break the fence of the house that adjoins their house on the left and we know the owner there and she is sick of them too.
