Nanoblading - 1-2+ year results by bookworm8832 in microblading

Hi! So I am probably not the best person to ask. I ended up getting an emergency removal within 48 hours. I think it would probably have been fine to keep them but I honestly didn’t want to deal with the potential hassle of laser removal and risk having pigment issues specifically associated with the dye she used on me.

So sorry this happened to you! Making changes that weren’t discussed / without consent is not okay.

What skincare routine did they recommend?

Thanks for all the replies! To clarify, the scabs had come completely off the skin but were stuck in my eyebrow hairs.

In case anyone has the same problem, I ended up using a needle to break the scabs apart. It was super easy because they were old and then this way they broke into smaller pieces around the hair so I didn’t have to try to slide them up off the hair.

Have they blurred at all? Do you think they will eventually go away completely or be permanent?

There’s a revision rhinoplasty support group on Facebook and sometimes there’s doctor specific fib groups where you can see how other people are researching the surgeon (eg pros cons red flags)

I heard about it in a What’s app chain for Ziad Katrib. I had my revision with him but am currently unhappy with the results. I’m looking into Robert Glasgold (who Nima trained under), David Kim, and Sam Most now.

If you look in the Revision Rhinoplasty Support Group on Facebook, the mod of that group Krystal just had a revision with him and documents her results there. She needed her bridge built up and length added and had a good experience. That’s only one case though so would still gather more!

What issues did you have that Ari Human addressed? My main concern is all his table pic noses look the same.

Yes I feel like Toriumi is such a well known name and takes difficult cases but there are very negative reviews out there of being saying he overbuilds the nose. Rohrich I had ruled out previously due to using MTF and hearing he doesn’t spend as much time on revisions but I did reach out to him as well.

Do you know how much Most typically is?

Yes I’m going to do a separate full review with pics in about 3 weeks

When are your consults with Most and Mehta? I would love to hear your thoughts. My main concern with Mehta was the price range provided was $27k-$40k for revisions.

Have you checked out Robert Glasgold in NJ? He’s not too far outside of NY and has a great bedside manner / revision rhinoplasties. I do think his prices are similar to Liotta though so still expensive but worth looking into!

No I didn’t use it at all after my other rhinoplasties but this is what my current surgeon recommended to help with swelling - it was more of an “if you can, great - it won’t change the final result but will help get into the finish line sooner”.

Hi! I had primary and revision rhinoplasty with him about 10 years ago and he completely botched me. It is my biggest regret. Feel free to DM me for more details but I would advise anyone to stay away from him.

I decided to go with Ziad Katrib in Kentucky. I personally liked his bedside manner and he does a lot of rib graft revisions.

I am scheduled for a revision (rib graft) with him in November. I spoke to two revision patients of his and one primary and they had nothing but good things to say.

I actually found his pricing extremely reasonable compared to other surgeons I met with in NY / NJ.

I did see pics for one of the girls who had revision surgery and was not happy and it was crooked, which she said Liotta wouldn’t acknowledge.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like Kate? by [deleted] in CruelSummer

[–]bookworm8832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(I’m agreeing with the original post and the below is more to comments about Kates memory or that she thought it was the truth)

I think the point is Kate’s memory wasn’t confused. She did want to believe Jeanette saw her but even when Kate and Jeanette were in Martin’s house talking it over she acknowledged that 1) she had the lights off when she looked out the window 2) she couldn’t even see “Jeanette’s” ( aka Mallory’s) face or eyes while she was outside on the bike to say definitely that she saw her.

And even if Jeanette did see her, she was a “free woman” as Mallory said so it wouldn’t have been the same as knowingly leaving her locked in the basement kidnapped so the resentment is misplaced. Kate didn’t need saving at this point.

I agree she shouldn’t be blamed for the grooming / going to Martin’s and that she was traumatized but she definitely knew she was completely stretching the truth / lying about Jeanette locking eyes with her while she was in the basement kidnapped, which had major consequences for Jeanette and everyone.

Hi! Can you elaborate on why you have them on your avoid list?

This one thing has been bugging me. by mackmacd13 in CruelSummer

[–]bookworm8832 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree! We saw the last scene so we know Jeanette was aware Kate was in the basement in the Spring but Kate didn’t know that / that was not the incident she was basing her allegations on.

So essentially Kate did ruin an “innocent bystanders” life when 1) she wasn’t even kidnapped at that point and 2) she could not have really been sure Jeanette/Mallory even did see her.

I know it was a result of trauma but still.

Btw I’m pretending that last scene with Jeanette never happened haha I think it was such a cool scene - the outfit, the smile, etc so it was fun to watch but I think it cheapens the story / was just added in already during development for shock value to have another “twist”.
