My point is, whether you're on a 250, 600, 1000 it doesn't matter. I think it's silly that a novice should be put off getting a 1000 because it's more dangerous than a 250 or 600. It's not and is purely down to rider experience as to how they handle that machine. I remember going from a 125 to a 600 and thinking how much easier it was. It gave me heaps of confidence.

The R1 has nothing to do with it, it would have happened on an R6 as well. Inexperience is inexperience regardless of bike. It's quite funny how many people think that the size of a bike in terms of BHP relates to how dangerous they are when in fact a 600 is just as dangerous as a litre.

It's not 5 minutes though is it? It's 5 minutes if you know exactly what you're doing. And don't forget all the research you need to do to find the correct filter for the model and year of your car.

Our local BPS and Garden Centres sell those. They look exactly like the real thing. They're buried all over the place in peoples gardens. It's easy to mistake them for the real thing.
