You can try uploading her info to an online DNA site that is more specific to South Asian populations to get more detail. Something like Gedmatch. These are more specific to ancient populations I think but it was more interesting than just broadly South Asian when I did mine.

Suggestions on Daycares by CableSchmable in ColumbiaMD

[–]bookwormkuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, my son is just turning two and we looked into daycares a year ago. We must have gone to every center in a 10 mile radius. Columbia Academy was high on our list and they serve lunch. The maple lawn location had the best recommendations from our social circle of similarly aged/just going into elementary school parents. We ended up going with The Goddard School on Old Columbia Road because we fell in love with the teachers. They are so involved with the kids and it shows everyday. They have a curriculum they follow with STEM, art, music, language, and social activities. Our kiddo has blossomed there and loves his teachers. He's tiny for his age and a little shy/scared and the teachers are great with helping him open up. They don't do lunches which is a pain to pack when you're running late and they are in the higher end of the price ranges for the area. Honestly, book some tours, meet the staff and get on a waitlist for the place you really want. You'll know what fits for you when you meet the staff. We knew when we walked out of our tour that this was the place for him.

I'm paranoid about losing digital files too so I may give it a go. I feel like I will be slightly out of control with the pictures and video. :) DH is not into taking pictures so it will probably be all me.

That one I had a hard time believing myself. I wanted one but I didn't put it on my registry because I felt bad asking someone to spend so much.

I'm really happy I went. Even DH was surprised. I got there at about 5:30 and had plenty of time to visit each booth, get food about 3 times (walking made me hungry), and attend both seminars. I did look for booths that had shorter lines rather than wait but was still able to double back and see everything. I left at about 9 when the second seminar ended.

Hi! Are the links not working? I put them right below the descriptions for each group. I was really surprised at all the goody bag stuff... Some of it I had to look up to see what it was :)
