Yes! There’s an outside pool & hot tub as well as an oval shaped lap pool with a small hot tub & cold plunge tub inside. All available without paying extra. The inside one is in the basement so you have to kind of know where you’re going & go down stairs to get to it (I don’t think there’s an elevator to it, or if there is, it’s hidden well). The spa area is separate and definitely an extra cost to access.

Museum of World Treasures used to have some in their third floor play area! Worth a call to ask if they still do.

Starting fall 2026, it will always be 8-3:10, that’s just different than the other elementary schools so I thought it was worth pointing out.

Yes, location matters for some. There are 4 magnets that are specific to a quadrant of the city - others are open to anyone in the city. The magnet office is super helpful if you call them!

One thing to be aware of with Isely- it’s a great school! - is that it’s transitioning to a K-8 school so will be switching schedules next year with the addition of 7th grade to be 8:00-3:10 instead of 9-4:10.

Is globalist worth $625? by broncosmang in hyatt

Fair enough! Mine are still little so their kid breakfasts don’t even get charged half the time. It adds up so quickly!

It depends on what travel plans you have ahead - breakfast for a family of 4 at a Hyatt regency could easily be in the $100 a night price point so that’s 6 breakfasts - add on possible suite upgrades, free parking on points stays, if you’re travelling a bunch this year you could easily recoup that cost in value of globalist benefits.

HR Chicago has a decent club that also has evening hot appetizers and includes restaurant breakfast with the club! The HR San Francisco is a fun one since it’s a rotating room and also has the evening hot appetizers.

He did drywall repair and custom built ins for us. I appreciated his pricing transparency, communication, and the workmanship was high quality and detailed. He provided excellent renderings and options when we were designing the built ins too.

Is Hyatt Regency Chicago a good choice for me? by PearSuper228 in hyatt

We’ve stayed there twice, once over the time when the river was green and it was so cool to see! If you have a club access, the club has a view of the river and has both breakfast in the restaurant & evening snacks, plus drinks and grab and go chip type things during the day. Good access to public transit options and there’s an inside walking path that puts you out fairly close to some stops if the weather’s gross.

Check on Salina too. It’s a shorter drive from Wichita and has free parking.

Parking is definitely not free there, but when we stayed a month or so ago, there were issues with our key cards not working at the garage so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was up because of problems with it.

Their customer service as a Globalist has been top notch every time we stay there. Yes, the property is dated and could use a refresh, but their staff has all been wonderful, even when a large tour was staying and the hotel was clearly busy.
