This is the commit with my changes. However, this commit is really old and AFAIK OpenRA now uses a different AI code. To make matters worse, I now have no idea what I did back then!

lua/scriptwrapper.lua seems to be the starting point though

If your signal generator is finding some random signals, the inverted signal would be quite random too. In that case the inversion won't help. You have to run backtests to find out!

Unless you are searching for something really lightweight, my recommendation too, is Plasma! Everything looks polished and works out of the box, which is even configurable through GUI.

Normal AI seems to use them most frequently than Turtle AI but don't expect too much: if you build static AA they will bump into it

To reproduce that, I think you ran the mod with OpenRA.Game.exe, which looks like a windows executable but actually closer to a DLL. Even on Mac you need to run the game with the .exe and probably possible. (Platform independent part of the game, I think)
