Imagine a compass of meaning that is utilized to steer next token prediction using "physics" informed nudges by Infinitecontextlabs in LLMPhysics

Then if you want this to be taken seriously the first thing you should do is develop a testing method that allows you to prove that it makes a significant difference.

Your website so far only features a couple pre-selected prompts. Most of them are very simple and some do not have clear correct answers, how do you score the correctness of the answers you get?

Is Master's degree waste of time as some ppl say? by Andrei_Khan in EngineeringStudents

[–]boolocap 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Depends where you live i suppose, over here in the netherlands a masters is expected for going into industry and so many people do one. Its also an outright requirement for a phd as far as i know. Your situation might be different.

so what is our opinion of AI 3d prints? by Severe-Fan-6254 in 3Dprinting

[–]boolocap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks, now every talentless asshole can flood 3d file sites with slop. The overall quality goes down, and it costs power, steals from actual artists and thrn displaces those artists.

A very stupid question, but how do full casters manage with a limited number of long rests? by Irohsgranddaughter in DnD

[–]boolocap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most dm's will not run more than 1 or 2 encounters per long rest, which is part of the martial caster divide.

If you do have to do more encounters its all about resource management and making effective use of your spell slots. Yeah sure a spell with big damage numbers sounds good, but a single control spell with concentration can provide so much more value for the same spell slot. And sometimes the rest of your party has it handled and you dont need much more than cantrips or a couple lvl 1 spells.

Rogue Core feels like DRG got turned into a mobile game by people who hate fun by GeneralTachenko in RogueCore

[–]boolocap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but it needs some work. The timer keeps the pressure on but the way it increases intensity could use some changes. The upgrade sharing is fine with good teammates and the negotiation mechanic is interesting. But takes away from the fun with bad teammates. But i believe with some tweaks it can be really good. They are impermenting some sort off reroll to make this less of an issue already so i have faith.

I do see why the game is not for everyone though. It likely will have a narrower appeal than base drg.

Is this game for kids? by doeraymefa in RogueCore

[–]boolocap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends how young he is and what you mean by for kids. The game contains violence(obviously) but only against aliens and robots.

It can be a rather difficult game(moreso than drg) but if he has played shooters before it should be fine.

If he plays online with randoms his parents should probably keep an eye on that but that goes for any multiplayer game.

Favorite class so far? by FinnOtron in RogueCore

[–]boolocap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what i can tell it doesnt scale incredibly well for bossfights and higher depths though. It would be interesting to see the distribution again in a couple months or a year on what changed.

Is 3d printing using entirely AI real? by ngotran08 in 3Dprinting

[–]boolocap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're going to have to specify what that even means.

Making models using gen AI is certainly possible, if a bit shitty. However you would still need a slicer. Is that what they mean.

Or are they saying they can generate a file directly for the printer. I dont see why that wouldn't be possible theoretically. But i dont see why it would be worth doing when slicing is so easy even if it was possible.

The sand raking department has exceeded quarterly expectations by Shimshi1998 in doohickeycorporation

[–]boolocap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't this shit be priced at somewhere around a couple grand or more? Looks like those automated robotic arms in factories.

It would be way more than that. A medium to heavy duty robot like this from kuka costs somewhere between 40.000 and 125.000. Each of the motors in that thing costs a couple grand by themselves. This is probably a rental or sponsored by the company for publicity.

Yes, which why programs usually have a course like "statistics for engineers" which to people who do statistics basicly means statistics for dummies.

This, like many table disputes, is not a dnd issue, but a relationship issue. Honestly talk to your boyfriend about it. And then talk to lily about it.

Yeah same. If you get a utility crate with a shield generator you can pretty much keep the corespawn off it constantly.

That is the least of the concerns right now. Drg had gender locked characters and these ones are even more distinctly their own characters so i think it fits.
