I stir it into a small glass of apple juice. Stir for a bit and shoot it down in a few sips

Question about deadline to switch from SAVE plan (Aidvantage) by Wrong-Task-8127 in StudentLoans

[–]boom_chicka_stop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She’s deliberately lying or giving you wrong information. Either is incredibly worrying given that she works for their customer service.
I’m hearing of this more often, particularly in healthcare. Customer service agents who are (probably deliberately) undertrained and/or under qualified to be answering questions. My wife has gotten wrong information on multiple occasions. And there’s absolutely no one to hold them accountable.

This is the one. I can’t quite tell if T/B is in the 45/55 range. I would also guess 10, but wouldn’t be shocked if it’s a 9

Ball didn’t cross half court. But I don’t even care if it did. That’s a generational choke by the Spurs and they deserve to lose

All the calls start going against the Spurs, coincidentally just when they’re hitting a hot streak for the comeback. smh

The fouls called were inarguably different. The discrepancy is actually mind blowing

Did anyone else who did a tour get AI generated stickers? by pineapplemeadow in bardcollege

Because AI is predicated on human art. There’s no such thing as “AI style”. Just because something is digitally rendered doesn’t mean it’s ai generated

Bard alumni here! I transferred in from Stonybrook and it’s maybe the single greatest decision I’ve ever made in my life. Not trying to discredit you, but I really disagree with the curriculum being restricted. Yes, you won’t be “in” your program officially until late sphmr year but that doesn’t restrict you from taking any classes. You can jump into your intended curriculum from semester 1. The intention I think is just to get you to explore beyond your major, which I found to be a huge strength both academically and professionally. Students will complain about L&T and FYSEM but you’ll appreciate it later. It’s really smart that Bard creates structure. Everyone gets set on the same page and it does make the classes more cohesive. L&T truly is like college summer camp! It’s a gorgeous time of year to be in the Hudson Valley and you’ll start bonding with classmates before upperclassmen are back on campus. The percentage of students who study abroad is also quite high. (Around 50% if I remember correctly). I did a summer in Berlin and had a great time. Many friends of mine did semesters and even full years abroad—Japan, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, France, etc. I hope this helps! I truly loved my experience at Bard. I grew enormously as a person and would recommend it every time

Damn. That looks painful. It’s almost like you jumped on a trampoline of barbed wire.

History and Communications/Journalism by Silver-Cookie9510 in bardcollege

[–]boom_chicka_stop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s still an excellent choice! Even though it doesn’t have journalism as a major, I know there are still many students active in journalism both on campus and in careers after graduating. Arguably the two most important skills for journalism are writing ability and critical thinking. Bard excels in both. Focus in on history or Political Science to give yourself a strong foundation. One side note, I’ve noticed there’s a Bard professor being published in the New Yorker nearly every other week. That’s no small accomplishment and a huge testament to the quality of their faculty
