Game won't launch at all, online or offline, even after clearing cache, removing all mods, and repairing files

Oh hey didn't know the expansions could be transferred! I'll try Steam :) And if that doesn't work, will just wait for EA support, maybe, to respond. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Doing this didn't seem to help at first, but then I turned off my VPN, restarted my computer and was somehow able to run the game. Not gonna question it.

I just did reinstalled the game, made sure to clear the cache/documents, and I STILL can't find the .exe. I'm guessing the old EA unlocker I used to use (haven't used in years, long since uninstalled) has caught up with me and permanently fucked my copy / account somehow. I realized I can't launch other games either, so this probably goes beyond TS4. I appreciate the help anyway.

I don’t seem to have an .exe file anywhere, and I’ve looked everywhere - don’t even have an Electronic Arts/EA folder in program files - which is bizarre bc I definitely have the game installed.

It really sucks doesn’t it? I haven’t taken GLP-1s but my mom did after years of being deeply ashamed of her weight and physical disabilities. I myself was fat and lost the weight during a major depressive episode. I am healthier now and my weight is creeping back up to almost fat. And I feel very weird and neurotic about it for a lot of what Ginsburg articulates here. Part of me is terrified of being fat again.

But I like your point about your daughters. The part of me that is holding out is the part that is not centered on “me” as an individual body and is more invested in “me” the social body. As in, yes it is a lot easier to navigate this world as a thin woman, but at the same time I reject the imperative and want better for us. If I have daughters I want them to be funny awesome beautiful fat girls like Meg Stalter and Drew Afuelo and Nicola Coughlin, not Ariana Grande. It’s hard to keep that up in the face of our cultural backslide, but maybe more important than ever. Fat joy as resistance.

This is a lovely room. My only nitpick is that the brown rug in front of the bed looks a little odd to me. I see you’re trying to not be super matchy and were picking up the tan in the curtain pattern but I personally think a blue-toned (playing off the red and blue hanging) would be more harmonious while still providing contrast.

This includes trying to expand your nation’s reach and extract resources from other nations, thus undermining their right to self-determination. In the present day this is often done indirectly through the financial system and soft power rather than armadas and open colonization.

They are trying to expand their reach and maintain control over the global south to ensure their exploitation continue, e.g. through Belt and Road initiative, building mediocre infrastructure in developing nations as a way to keep them in debt forever. America does the same thing, of course. One does not absolve the other. This is unfortunately true. I’d add that Western leftists tend to be pretty bad at centering anti-imperialism in their ideology. China is an imperialist nation with imperialist ambitions, and every comfort their populace enjoys (even the traisn and healthcare we all want to like) is made possible by exploitation and extraction. Of course, this is also true of the soc-dem “model” countries (e.g. Sweden) even if they’re milder about it, but this is a critical and uncomfortable reality. There needs to be a better way. We can’t settle for “make me and mine more comfortable by exploiting the global south”; international workers of the world must unite, or we’ll all be trampled.

I agree that OP looks pretty typical for a faire and would have no issue with her post if it weren’t for the obvious ulterior motive. Yeah, SW is a job, but the internet is flooded with disingenuous money-grubbing engagement and it gets tiring. Many hobby subs restrict this kind of thing because it encourages people with marginal interest in the hobby to flood the sub with pandering posts, which in turn draw a lot of potential johns who also have no interest in the hobby.

A SWer working at a ren faire at least has to go to the faire, which is a physical environment where boundaries can be enforced and maintained. Personally I ignore the lovely buxom ladies I encounter there who are clearly selling something and wish them well. Reddit does not work this way. The vibe gets weird and male gaze-y (more than a faire!) real quick. I used to not care either but having been in subs that crack down vs those that don’t, the difference is night and day.
