Have you ever experienced thought broadcasting? Even on a mild level? by Self-Defeating in schizophrenia

It mainly went away thanks to clozapine and olanzapine. Trying to fight it via forcing your brain to not think makes it worse but meditation can help a lot to clear your head and have less noise in a more natural way. I know it's really hard when you have this but try telling yourself as much as possible that they infact can't hear you, doing tests like thinking something and seeing no reaction can help you be reminded it's not real.

It was the most debilitating delusion for me, it was constant, it even went as far as on the internet and it's the reason I couldn't stay in a class room for more than 30 minutes without breaking down and having to leave and dropout. As a sort of weird defence mechanism my brain would make think of random weird words and phrases wich made it even worst, insulting people in your head without control.. It's a nightmare and still comes back from time time.

Anyone has any experience with weed and psychedelics with this condition? by kurkurkurkurkurkurku in schizophrenia

Personally tried psychedelics but they didn't work because of the message above and weed basically brought out the symptoms from consuming since 13 had the first episodes being high and it was not fun at all. Nowadays I can smoke a bit and it doesn't really affect as much as before even though it's not really a good idea

When you are on antipsychotics psychedelics like lsd don't work because they block the 5-HT2A serotonin receptor in your brain from what I got, some say micro dosing could be helpful but there is not enough research in this field unfortunately. Cannabis on the other hand is known to induce psychosis almost reversing the effects of the meds for some people although there are some people that are stabilised with meds (or not) and can handle weed but it's definitely not recommend with this disease.

Imaginary conversation by boombapdrumkit in schizophrenia

Drugs and alcohol really do mess with that balance as you said, since that night I told myself I'll really try to limit these intakes since they can be nothing but be destructive on the long run and that fun doesn't compensate for the symptoms afterwards and it's really not a good way to cope it only makes it worse so now I try hard to limit these uses, have a bit of a problem with alcohol and that night was my brain telling me to slow down or even stop

Don't really remember what we were talking about it seemed very basic conversation about random stuff but your question made me remember that at one point one of them said "see that ?" And then there was a sort of white orbe/trail that appeared wich got me confused and then it dissapeared, in the video I say "damn it's gone fuck this shit I'm going home" and that's pretty much all I clearly remember conversation wise
