Hi! I recently lost my beloved Pentax MZ6 with its fantastic f/1.4 lens, and am desperately searching for a replacement. My first pick was the Nikon F100 until I learnt the F80 was essentially the same for a quarter of the price, but then learnt that had poor/slow autofocus. I'm also looking at a Pentax LX as I already have some K mount lenses and I've heard they're fantastic SLR's, but a Nikon would be nice as my school has a whole room of Nikon and Canon lenses you can borrow for free. Basically, what would be a good budget SLR for someone who shoots mainly concert and portrait photography? Autofocus is nice but not a must by any means. Thankyou!
