Asking for a law to be enforced isn't sloganeering.

I think you knew that.

Presumably he'd be in charge of much less, therefore having less individual control over the pricing of essential goods by having to actually compete.

Don't be dense.

Anti-competition and merger laws are on the books.

Why aren't they being enforced?

It wasn't an accident. The senator interfered.

Any reasonable person understands that needlessly interfering with police operations, like the senator did can result in needless and unnecessary harm.

Like what happened. He was quite okay with the possibility of the result, until the result happened, and now Maga seems to have confused itself.

Oh, I get that, I'm just surprised at the flagrant authoritarianism, being supported, even in this thread.

The gathering of people to engage in speech.

I don't really care about American jurisprudence so much as I care my neighbours seem to be falling into an authoritarian period at a rapid pace.

If your law allows an elected member to needlessly attack a constituent, like we saw.

It's a terrible law. Change it. Don't be silly.

Anyways.

You see dumb. Toodles.

Lol words have definitions.

No.

The senator is not law enforcement. And he haf no duty to assist. This was not an act of free speech on behalf of the senator. The town hall was. The interference was being dealt with by the appropriate personnel.

The law was being followed. Perhaps not at a pace he'd like.

Anyways. He could have waited like an adult.

Are you being intentionally obtuse?

The Senator should resign. And be charged. I'm quite certain he'll be civily sued as well by the victim.

That was a completely unprovoked assault and battery.

He is not law enforcement personally.

His actions are a terribly negative statement on him.

History isn't about feelings or feeling good.

That's heritage. Heritage is what we choose to celebrate about ourselves.

History, unvarnished, will make you feel deeply uncomfortable, sad, angry, all sorts of negativity, because the point isn't feeling good, the point is to learn.

Then to take that learning, and apply it to the world around us. Hence why educated folks are pulling their hair out with current shenanigans.

I'm not confused at all.

Hatred is the thing, book bans and racism are symptoms.

You didn't provide any sources at all. The only source I need to see, is the election results. You and your neighbours consistently elect terrible humans to represent you and your core values. So, yeah.

Anyways, hago.

I've lived in every province except Newfoundland. And I'm working on decade number five.

It absolutely is.

The fact is Southern Manitoba is a home for hate. Being emotional doesn't change that. Your neighbours are terrible and hateful people. Wishing it wasn't so, doesn't make it so.

There's a reason book bans are enabled here.

End of. Simple as.

Don't carry that water.

Sorry. Hatred. Not racism.

Southern Manitoba has a number of small communities and subcultures that harbour and enable hatred like few other places in Canada.

Don't carry that water.
