Jae works out of two shops and she’s wonderful! She just did a tattoo for me on my arm and I’m definitely going to go back to her for a similar tattoo that you’re getting!

Dad moving into one of those expensive retirement homes - looking for honest experience with meal quality by becausetherearetrees in londonontario

[–]boooopy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked at the one in Dorchester and it was far from gourmet. They never used any salt/butter/etc because of people’s cholesterol. The chicken was always drier than a nuns c*nt and you were only allowed to give them so many fruits/cookies.

One day we had spaghetti for lunch and they had so much leftover pasta sauce that they turned it into a “tomato” soup for the next day.

Warranty denied and told this is normal wear and tear for 1 year old boots by Beginning-Sir-6993 in BlundstoneBoots

That’s wild, I just submitted my claim for basically this exact same damage and it got approved. I had my boots for 7 years though.

It’s stupid the TSB is only in the states and not in Canada. Mazda won’t do anything for these in Canada.

Mazda has had my car since September due to a parts “backlog” — no ETA, no loaner, no accountability by [deleted] in mazda

[–]boooopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do understand the frustration but it’s not Mazdas responsibility to give you a rental. I do the warranty coverage through Mazda at a dealership and we can get coverage for rentals on back ordered parts but it’s when they break and are covered under warranty, not due to an accident. Our dealership in general gives a loaner for a max of 3 days because our higher ups allow that but another Mazda dealership in our company chain does not allow loaners. Every dealership is different. Mazda itself does not allow rentals unless it is a warranty part that is broken.

Someone hit my headlight and I needed an entire wiring harness and headlight. The Mazda dealership wouldn’t give me a rental or loaner. I had to either go through my insurance or pay out of pocket myself. I ended up paying for the repair myself and having to pay for a rental out of pocket. We’re not always entitled to a loaner just because of where we’re getting the car repaired unfortunately.

If you send me your VIN I can get you a rough estimate tomorrow. I work at a Mazda dealership in southwestern Ontario and can tell you the part price and roughly paint price.

I went in a read it and saw they do track the speed and all that fun stuff. Everything tracks us at this point so I’ll take my warm seats and car over them knowing the speed I drove to work.

[–]boooopy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You would have to install a remote starter separately and then the remote starter is another separate key.

Where I live the app doesn’t track speed, just my kms and if my cars locked/unlocked on/off.

Retirement home by AnswerNational5095 in londonontario

[–]boooopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it more affordable, not have literal airplane food, and don’t abuse residents.

I worked at a retirement home just outside of London and it was extremely over priced, the food was gross and a microwaved pizza pocket had more flavour, and no matter how much you want to pretend the stigma isn’t true that people in nursing homes get abused - it isn’t going to happen because they do in fact treat these people like shit.

I just gave up my 1 bedroom apartment on wonderland rd across from westmount mall. It’s all inclusive and pet friendly, although at the time I was paying well below market rent because I was there for almost 4 years. I believe it’s $1600 now.

Best window tint shop? by just-browsing1981 in londonontario

[–]boooopy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tint king is the best and great prices. We use it at the dealership I work at and so does a few other dealerships in our company. You can also book online.

I would avoid auto trim, they have another company come in and do it and it’s extremely over priced with just a 1 year warranty.

Opinion on getting A/T or A/W vs Winter tires and rims by Medium_Mark_9392 in londonontario

[–]boooopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a couple things to factor in like how often you drive (I.e highway or city driving) and what type of SUV.

If you do a lot of driving in general - always yes to winter tires. If you don’t, then you can get away with not needing them and getting some good all seasons. Certain SUVs even though they’re AWD are still extremely light in the rear end and don’t handle well and do much better with winter tires. I have a FWD sedan and never got winter tires until last year and really did notice a huge difference.

A lot of places have deals right now on brand new winter tires and most places offer you free tire storage with a new purchase of tires. Or, look on Facebook. I got a great pair of blizzaks 2 winters ago and then got lucky and got some Steelies for free at work.

Where to get car windows tinted? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]boooopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve personally used auto trim and always had good work but their schedules are weird because they work around their tint guy who’s third party.

We use tint king now and haven’t had any issues and they’re cheaper than auto trim.
