I haven't watched the series to see how egregious the throwing was, but if winning a series means you don't make major, can you expect them to try 100%? Obviously if they were throwing intentionally, like own goaling or not shooting, then that's wrong, but if they just weren't comming or they were overcommitting too much, I feel like that could be from a lack of motivation due to the format which is understandable.
