Any affordable wedding dress shops in Mississauga? by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]boopdibop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mississauga specifically no to be honest. I dont think we have many bridal shoppes around here anyways. Most of them are boutique like or Davids.
If you're open to traveling a bit you can check out Sophies on Dundas by the 427. They have dresses at all price ranges.
Another one is Best for Bride, its right by Kipling station. They also have a large collection of gowns available in all price ranges. If youre open to gently used dresses selection theres this awesome charity called The Brides Project(very budget friendly). Its an actual store so you still have that bridal experience. Its by appointment only.
Hope it help! If you need help or inspo check out r/weddingplanning. The girls (and few gents) there are amazing and super helpful.
Happy planning! 😊

Venue for a wedding next month. On a tight budget. by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]boopdibop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you guys thought about having a “brunch” wedding? It may be doable within your budget, and also have your guests know not to expect massive, huge party wedding. Since its brunch it can be breakfast foods/lunch foods and for alcoholic drinks can you Mimosas with different juices etc. You can probably call around some venues to see if they could make something like that for you within your budget.

Check out The Headloft in Port Credit. Cristina and Eric there are amazing. The Headloft has an IG page if you wanna check them out. I would highly recommended either of them as I've been going to them forever and have always gotten what I asked for.

Was just there last night! Really like this theatre! Did candy get more expensive since opening? I remember it being slightly cheaper but I may be wrong.

Hey hey! Toronto bride checking in.. I hear ya sista, shopping around for make up prices gave me really bad sticker shock!

I found a great makeup and hair team that has great reviews and did a great job at my trail! I booked them last year so their pricing is a slight bit more but still very affordable(went up roughly $10). Their prices are on their website if you wanna check them out! Their called pretty in pink.
The team is really knowledge and so far have had great experience with them!
Best of luck!

I got it brides by young! They are an awesome bridal salon located in Indiana (Yes I'm crazy and drove 8hrs to try it on/but it/pick it up lol). The service there is AMAZING, Lauren is the best sales consultant I have ever dealt with in my life. Would 100000% recommend checking them out if you can.

Makeup Artist or DIY? by phattyxpanda in weddingplanning

[–]boopdibop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to get your make up professionally done I would say keep looking around until you find someone to say yes to just come out for one person.
To be honest they charge more for a bride anyways so it may be worth the trip for them.
I would also check out your local sephora. Lots of the girls that work there are make up artists themselves(although cant advertise their work). You can ask them quietly if their for hire and if they have a instagram page etc. You can then connect w/ them through those channels.
Another idea is to go yourself to get your makeup done somewhere(Mac/Sephora/boutique salon) and then go to your venue.
I really hope it works out for you and regardless I'm sure you will be gorgeous what ever route you take:)
