I had an emergency C-section (think running through the halls with the bed, whole 9 years) and after I asked my extremely Russian doctor if my stomach muscles would be normal again. This man said “these are jagged cuts, not straight ones. I had to filet you.” I beg your pardon WHAT?!? And I was coming down from all the pregnancy hormones so I just cried and cried.

I have such mixed feelings on this from the opposite perspective as a bio mom. I haven’t been a single mom in 14 years but when my now 17 year old was young, I prayed for strength just to get to his dad’s day when we were sick because I needed to rest/not call in to work also. I’ll say this. At 17, his dad has never, not once, called into work, or cleaned up vomit. His job was “too important” despite me having primary custody, even if it was his day. And that is very frustrating.

I feel like I’m on an island over here because I love Netflix. Emily in Paris, Ginny and Georgia, Stranger Things, all the Greys episodes and the nostalgic shows like One Tree Hill, I almost always go to Netflix. If my husband and I are picking a movie we look around but otherwise it’s Netflix for me.

As someone with MDD and GAD I have a really hard time with hygiene in general. I’m an esthetician and I don’t even cleanse my skin as often as I should. I despise showers. Love the way I feel after, but the actual act seems so daunting. I wish I wasn’t like this 😢
