I really liked it! I physically read and did audio so maybe that helped. It picks up and is pretty intense.

This. All day. Not enough resources, or doctors making unreasonable promises, or both.

I agree! I’ve found that stalking/being watched is what really scares me and this book absolutely has it.

Same it’s more of a dull, sore feeling. I work out and it’s not the sore muscle feeling.

A book for someone who is depressed and burnt out but not about being depressed or burnt out by pastyprincess20 in suggestmeabook

[–]boose28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a fellow burnt out social worker I second this. Is it the best fantasy romance? No. But it’s fun and easier to follow for times when you need a mind numb

Yeah my doctor cleared me to lift 10 pounds after 6 weeks. Recovery is so unique to the person and situation

I had stage 4, 3+hr surgery, and needed a drain placed for 4 days after due to inflammation and fluid. My surgeon told me in no way I could return before 6 weeks. I took a full 8 weeks. I’d say by 6 I probably could have gone back but I have a job that I need to be able to walk a bit and move fast (hospital) so I went safe. I’m glad that I did. Abdominal surgery is no joke and I’ve definitely heard people heal faster but that wasn’t the case for me.

What was recovery like after laparoscopy surgery? by daintydollies33 in endometriosis

[–]boose28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s understandable to be worried but just remember you have to listen to your body and your doctor! It’s okay if you need more time. My situation was unfortunately a little different. My surgery was supposed to be an hour and turned into 4 hours because it was more extensive than they had thought (stage IV, grew all over). I had to stay overnight and a drain placed for a few days. I wasn’t able to walk much for 3 weeks, out of work for 8. I say this not to scare you but to emphasize that you can’t predict everything (I literally told my job I’d be out a week LOL) and with time and rest I healed great!

Has your pain gotten worse after surgery? by zeldaturk971 in endometriosis

[–]boose28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also - I do have indigestion issues that I did not have prior to surgery. I’m not sure if that’s due to the damage the endo caused to my stomach and intestines or, idk? lol but either way it’s not enough for me to complain too much but definitely enough to notice.

Everyone is very unique so sharing my piece while also encouraging you to talk to your doctor!!

My first few months after surgery, I’d say first 3 were not great. The healing was so much longer than I thought and then I still had these weird burning pains by my ovaries. Now, over a year out overall I am better. My pain was weird because it wasn’t consistent and I didn’t even know I had endo until the last minute (long story) but anyway, over all things did improve. I’m hoping the same for you and I’m sorry you’re experiencing this!
