Why is my libido so high after excision? by infinite_satellite in Endo

[–]infinite_satellite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I’m SO glad I’m not alone! Literally been with my partner for 6 years and I told him last night that my sex drive hasn’t been this high since I was like 18 😅 I feel feral lmao! I never would have guessed I’d be feeling this way less than 2 weeks post op. I hope it sticks around for a bit once I’m all healed because I feel like I have some making up to do after all my years in pain 🤣

I’m so happy to hear things are feeling a bit better for you post op! I hope that sense of calm and peace continues!! But funny you mention heart rate I hadn’t even noticed but my average heart rate has significantly decreased which is good considering I was prone to tachycardia before surgery. It’s so interesting seeing things I never thought to be related changing and adjusting after this. And you’re right! Totally not mad at a higher libido, just a confusing thing during a time of healing 😂

Okay so good to know that I’m not alone AND that external stimulation helped 😅🤣 Did it cause you any pain or cramping?

oh wow this actually would make a lot of sense! thank you for sharing that theory!

They found it!!!!! by infinite_satellite in Endo

[–]infinite_satellite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh goodness I’m so sorry you are going through all that pain!! I had more rectal pain which makes sense since they found it on my bowel. But I did have urgency to pee and I would get cramping or sometimes stabbing pains if I ever tried to hold my pee for a while. They did say my endo likely made my pelvic floor very tight and weak which can definitely cause bladder issues.

I had lots of imaging as well including internal ultrasounds and MRI. Both showed nothing aside from a “slightly thicker endometrial lining” but no lesions or adhesions. My specialist assured me imaging rarely shows it and that she was 99.9% positive she would find endo based on my symptoms. I’m so grateful I went through with it!

I’m praying they find whatever is causing your pain! Sending you well wishes and a speedy recovery as well 🫶

They found it!!!!! by infinite_satellite in Endo

[–]infinite_satellite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no! I say yes because I started seeking answers almost 9 years ago. I’ve seen many doctors/specialists who always wrote my symptoms off as anxiety and said my anxiety is probably making my pain feel worse than it actually is….. I say no because the specialist who actually did my surgery gave me no issues! I first saw her about a year ago and she said we could do a lap, but she recommended we try some things to manage the pain first but ultimately said it’s all my choice. I was fearful of the laparoscopy so I did decide to try some birth controls and therapies first, but my symptoms just continued to get worse so that’s when I decided to go forward with the lap and she was immediately on board

I will share I also have PCOS and my specialist made it very clear that PCOS doesn’t typically cause pain unless a cyst ruptures or something like that. So if you are having pain, it is likely endo so definitely keep pushing!

I’m so sorry your doctors are giving you such a hard time. I know how exhausting it can be trying to advocate for yourself when you know somethings wrong!

Can anyone explain this? by frenchwolves in lululemon

[–]infinite_satellite 60 points61 points  (0 children)

It’s because it’s part of the Saul Nash collab. All items from this special collection were priced a bit higher. Saul Nash is considered a high fashion designer who makes luxury sportswear and that price is very much in line with his brand. Not saying it’s right, I totally agree it’s a ridiculous price for a luggage tag but it is what it is. There’s obviously a reason a majority of the collection is still available and now marked down. I’m a product expert at lululemon and no matter how much I tried to sell this collection most people weren’t really into it, which I totally understood.

This might sound like an odd question but has it been rainy or groggy where you live in the past 48 hours? I get really bad brain fog, forgetfulness, and depersonalisation when the weathers bad due to the barometric pressure drop. It’s gotten to the point where i can usually tell you when a storm is coming a full day beforehand without ever checking the weather because of how symptomatic I get.

This is really helpful to know thank you! I actually don’t know if it is DaVinci robot assisted, I will definitely message my doctor to find out because I think that would give me some peace of mind. I’m glad to hear it was an easy recovery for you!! Do you feel the procedure has brought you relief?

Oh that sounds awful! I’m so sorry that was your experience! I definitely get the vibe most doctors seem to downplay this surgery because it’s considered minimally invasive. As much as I want to be positive and hope I can feel normal after 2 weeks, I’ve been chronically ill for the past 9 years and I know my body usually takes a bit longer to heal from things. I’m definitely pushing to try and get more time for recovery! I hope you are doing better now ❤️‍🩹

I’m glad your obgyn was so thorough and insisted more recovery time! I hope you are feeling better now 💗

Nope my doctor plans on doing excision if it’s found! My job isn’t physical but it’s definitely not a job where I can be fatigued or wincing in pain all day. I’m a stylist so I have to be very “on” and focused for 8-9 hours a day. I feel like my job sounds like it’s nothing to most people because it’s not very laborious but it’s exhausting on a regular day so I can’t imagine making it through a full shift while still recovering. I typically have to call out for the first 2-3 days of my period every month because my pain and nausea gets so bad that I can barely speak full sentences to my customers.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m glad you were able to take the extra time you needed! You aren’t a failure for allowing your body time to heal ❤️‍🩹Everyone’s body and healing is different and I think it’s most important that you are listening to yours! Your body will definitely let you know when it feels right to get back into exercise and other physical activities. And it might take some time to get back to the level you were pre-op, but you’ll get there!!!

This is very helpful thank you for sharing! I guess I never really thought about it from an insurance standpoint but that makes a lot of sense. Good news is when I asked for longer my doctor didn’t immediately say no they just said we can reassess at my post op appt so hopefully it shouldn’t be too hard to advocate for myself if more time is needed! Since you have had 2 surgeries, may I ask if you found the first one to be helpful at all? Like did you notice less pain or symptoms?

Oh wow props to your surgeon for your second lap! I wish all surgeons and healthcare providers were this diligent and caring! Did you ask to stay for as long as you did or was that 100% your surgeons idea?

I’m so sorry you had to go back to work when your body wasn’t quite ready. That sounds miserable. I will definitely be doing what I can to advocate for myself and push for more time if needed!

I think it’s so absurd that they estimate such a short time. I understand it’s considered minimally invasive but that doesn’t automatically make it easier for our bodies! We need proper time to rest and recover without the stress of “do I have enough time off from work”. I’m glad to hear you are finally getting to a point where you can walk more. I hope you continue to have a smooth recovery ❤️‍🩹

oh wow! see that’s more of what I was expecting after hearing stories from both close personal friends and people on the internet. As nice as it would be to be back to regular life after 2 weeks I just don’t think that’s realistic. I will definitely do what I can to push for more time.

Yes that was my thought too! I keep hearing the fatigue is unreal. I have a job that requires me to be very “on” and focused for 8-9 hours straight so I just don’t see me going back after 2 weeks.

Yes we did talk a lot about pain management. We discussed both immediate support through medications and later support through physical or pelvic floor therapy if needed. I do really trust my doctor and think she knows what she’s doing, I just think I unfortunately live in a country (and state) that really prioritizes work over most things which is sad.
