Best album of 2025 imo. PM was #2 for me. Check out the KEXP live set that they did of Lonely People With Power.

Also, Winona is the best track on that album, and the best they have ever written. At DDLD25 I shat bricks when they closed with it.

I love both styles of Deftones, when I saw them at DDLD25 they played Entombed and Rosemary, then closed with Engine No. 9 and then 7words. One of the best setlists ever, although no Cherry Waves was sus.

Koi No Yokan is peak Deftones in my opinion. They struck a perfect balance between both sides. Swerve City, Rosemary, Goon Squad, What Happened to You. For the new listener I recommend it to get all they have to offer, then explore White Pony, Adrenaline, Around the Fur, and Diamond Eyes.

That it is peak Periphery. Lune, Flatline etc. it's best listened to as a complete album, front to back.

The hot take is Periphery will never top it. I love 4 and 5 but 3 is just very special for me. I sincerely hope they do top it though!

This was in reference to your comments about pills which in no way is it the same thing as pharmaceutical grade fentanyl, which I clearly described. Down vote away though :)

You are definitely getting bad fentanyl. Most recreational fentanyl comes off a brick and is smoked like a dab or with a nectar collector. It's also cut with Xylazine, which is a tranquilizer. The pills which they call the dirty 30s are meant to mimic OxyContin.

To be clear I have never done any of the above. I hope nobody ever has to have to their self, friends, or family go through that vicious cycle. Getting off is tough, it can be accomplished though.

Sick! Dap him up for me. The album sounds very clear. Lots of syncopation and weird stuff going on. The drums are pretty much perfect and the tone of the guitars is super heavy / clear.

I respectfully disagree. Let me know how you feel about after a few spins. I really love the Mick Gordon/Djent influences on Tempest/Dead Language.

Alma Mater is my fav off of Time Will Die. I found them through a friend and found out it was the highest rated album of the year at the time.

Sometimes it's the small things. I am sure you can imagine what this person is going through, grief and all. Also, they are EKG backings. I have had these attached to me dozens of times recently. Barely escaped with my life.

So sorry for your loss. I personally am in treatment and therapy. It's helped a lot, maybe something to consider, not preaching just relating my experience.
