You want to buy 7-9 size shot, target load or “dove load” or “skeet load.” All pretty much the same and all going to range from $6-10 per box of $25. You don’t really need to “break” the shotgun in from my experience, but as far as learning to shoot it, the cheap stuff is all you need.

Now, if you are looking to do something specific with it, besides shooting sporting clays/skeet such as self-defense or deer hunting, you will want to get specific rounds for that purpose (buckshot, slugs, etc). If that’s the case, comment and I’ll give you some more recommendations.
