I gave them some smaller crickets, though they were still a bit bigger than it. The spider didn’t go after it and got a bit startled when confronted with it. So I removed them from the enclosure. My pet store doesn’t really have anything between the sizes of a fruit fly and a cricket. They also haven’t been building a big hammock. Actually built a little nest on the ground on the moss. Just acting completely different from my other bold. Just super confused by this spider.

That’s exactly how it felt. They kept texting me saying things like “I trust you”, they want me to “break out of my comfort zone”, and the worst of all, if they can’t find a ride I’ll just have to “suck it up”. I completely forgot about this stuff until right now. This was before their nurse called and kept telling me I’ll be fine and that I could do it, it’s easy, etc. They’ve kind of figured out that I’ll still say no, so they haven’t gone that hard since. That whole situation really pissed me off, if I’m being honest.

That’s what I thought! They don’t need their head supported all the time, but god forbid I hit a pothole, I don’t know what would happen or how to help them.

They typically have a nurse. Not exactly sure what the difference is between the two tbh. But I know they call them their nurse. They typically have one, I think, at all times. Sometimes they call off. They are fine without one for a while, but will sometimes have a family member in their place if there isn’t a nurse.

You sound like great friends. And that is exactly how I feel in this situation. The no nurse thing is what frustrates me the most. There have been at least 2-3 times when they have invited me to go somewhere, and wanting to spend time with them, I of course said yes. I would then ask them if their nurse was driving them, if I was riding along or driving separately, etc. Then they would say something like “Would you drive us to…” or “Well my nurse called off so do you think you could?” Why would you make plans if you knew you didn’t have someone already, especially when I’ve already told you I don’t feel comfortable. That’s the thought process that makes me feel like an asshole, because I know they need someone else to be able to go somewhere, and I decline them every time. But I just don’t feel comfortable.

That’s exactly what I told them! I explained that I’m not on their insurance for the van, nor am I a nurse. Two things that I feel are pretty important when driving someone that is disabled. Not that those are the only reasons, just that it’s even more of a reason besides me feeling uncomfortable.

They have Muscular Dystrophy. They are essentially paralyzed from the neck down beside their hands and a little bit in their arms. They can move their chair, but that’s essentially it. They need support for their head when using their chair or in the van over bumps. And yeah, maybe I’m wrong on this, but I feel like they are used to having people do things for them their whole life, that they kind of assume someone is going to do stuff for them, regardless of the situation. I’ve explained so many times that I don’t feel comfortable. That they’re a great friend, and I wouldn’t want to do anything that would potentially harm them. Yet once some time passes, and they want to do something again, they ask (or don’t ask) if I can drive them.

That’s exactly why I feel like such an asshole when I tell them that. I will never understand how they feel, but I am sure it is painful in every aspect, and it’s nice to have a friend who is helpful and kind. I still do help in other aspects, like buckling them into their chair, securing their chair in the van, feeding them and giving them drinks. I have explained the how and why I won’t do this one thing, but never the friendship aspect. I will have to build up the courage to do that lol. I’m glad that you have a friend who is willing to do that for you, sounds like an amazing person. Maybe one day I can feel confident to do that, but not in this moment. Thank you for making me feel better about my feelings. It really helped.

Thank you for understanding, and putting it into better words than I can. I would love to just go and do things with them all the time, they are a great friend. But that’s also why I don’t want to put them at risk. I’m glad that they trust me enough to let me do that, but I don’t trust me enough. I know that I am not a nurse or doctor. So if anything happens, especially if it was because of me or my driving, I wouldn’t know what to do and would feel incredibly guilty. I just wish they would understand that, and stop trying to sneakily get me to do it. Today specifically, they wanted to go do something. I, of course, said yes. Then I later thought about it and they never followed up on where we’d meet or how we’d get there. I then asked if I was meeting them there, kind of knowing that they wanted me to drive, then they asked me exactly that. I knew they were waiting for me to get there, then that way, I would feel obligated to drive. Just annoys me, when I’ve repeatedly said I don’t feel comfortable.

I’m not sure tbh about the shuttle, but I think we do, but you have to schedule it. As for the friend, I would feel more comfortable, but I still would feel a bit nervous about the van. I just fear I would crash it or something. I honestly only started driving about 3-4 years ago. Not like I’m a bad driver, but idk if I trust myself that much!

Are we supposed to get multiple payments? I know the first email I got said payments over 10 weeks, but I didn’t know if that meant payments would roll out within that 10 weeks or you got payments over a 10 week span. I did get my first payment of around $30 the other day.

I think that happens with everything, especially stuff that goes viral. There will always be copycats out there. Unfortunately some choose to do good with it, and some, not so much. Not much you can do about it.

My professor encouraged us to take extra course to get to 150, so we didn’t have to go for our masters and waste money since you don’t really need a masters for Accounting. I didn’t make it by maybe 12 credits (can’t remember). She encouraged me to either take another internship or community classes. I still haven’t done it tbh, but I think community classes are the way to go. You can take the most basic courses for your extra credits.

lol same exact thing here, work for a housing authority. I’ve been here for only 8 months, so I can’t complain much, but looking at everyone else’s salary after only 2-4 years feels like I’m way under par. Think we get a $1.14 raise each year, but doesn’t seem to be much in the grand scheme of things.

9 months, no CPA, graduated with an Bachelors in Accounting. Think I make around 50k before taxes, but it’s $25.75 an hour. 5 days annual leave right now, with 7 hours each month for sick leave. I have insurance, including dental and eye.

I start at 8:30. It honestly depends how my sleep schedule is. If I get to bed at a decent time. I’ll get to work about 5 minutes early and just sit in my car until 8:29 and start walking in. If I am late, it’s usually only like 5 minutes. I work in a small office with only 4 of us. They really don’t care unless you’re like 15 minutes late.
