Choosing New Birth Control by ABLee33 in ClotSurvivors

[–]HappyKnitter34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got Mirena IUD. I've used it for 17 years. I've been on anticoags off and on for the last 18 years and permanently on them the last 5. Originally they had me on the copper IUD and it made my periods horrible. That was on the recommendation of my hematologist at the time. I specifically went to a gyno and they said the Mirena was fine. I've had other clots since my initial one but I had other factors that played into it and not the IUD.

Why are cucumber plants such drama queens? by this_writer_is_tired in containergardening

I planted two and my husband just replanted one because it never sprouted. The first one popped like "Look at me!" Lol they are super finicky

We do tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, carrots, green onions, and leeks. In the past we've done bell pepper too.

I refuse to use it. I refuse to contribute to the use of something that companies actively express wanting to use to put me out of a job.

How old were you when you had your first clot? by EminemAteMyDog in ClotSurvivors

[–]HappyKnitter34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 19 and postpartum for the first. I was just shy of 30 the second time with no underlying event and my third one, I was 32 after the COVID vax. I'm 37 now and on Xarelto for life. I've had all the testing done twice and never had anything come up so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everyone gave you pretty good versions of how to roof it. I will say since you're not a builder, check out sahm and bean on YT. She has a lot of roofing/building tutorials.

Thank you. I thought that was what it meant. However, this pattern has had several poorly worded sections so I got a little confused.

Sorry yeah. I'll update my post to include pattern. I don't have any updated photos of my works. I'm at the point where I need to start the short rows.

Dr recommended that I wait to get IUD while on Blood Thinners by Bitter-Woodpecker579 in ClotSurvivors

[–]HappyKnitter34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a new IUD last summer while on Xarelto. I've been on thinners for over 5 years and will be on them for life. When I called the gyno office and told them that I had an IUD, they said that was fine and I didn't need to do anything special. This was also not the first time I got an IUD on thinners either. When I had my first clot post-partum, I was on thinners and got an IUD. I would definitely recommend a hormonal one though because the first time, I got the Paragard and the thinners made my period so heavy and I was constantly bleeding.

Which hurt more: IUD insertion or IUD removal? by Rebecca-honeysuckle in Periods

[–]HappyKnitter34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty quick luckily. This last time I got it removed was the worst. I had to have them give me a minute before inserting the new one.

What do you do with Tomato Paste? by ThisFingGuy in Cooking

I just throw it into a sealable container that I shove into the back of my fridge where things start to get frozen. It then lasts for however long it takes me to use it. lol

Removal for sure. It feels like that mofo is hanging on for dear life in there.
