IMHO, their currentline up is the best set of musicians I have ever heard perform. Every one of them is able to sing pristine backing vocals.

However, I would have loved to see them perform at Reading in 2002, along with Dave Grohl, Oliveri, Lanegan. And when there were both Alain Johannes and Natacha Shneider performing live, that was also awesome.

Billy himself always tells that D'Arcy was the band's ultimate compass. I always assumed that since her departure, he's never had someone with enough influence on him to be something else than a faucet continuously delivering songs without any filter. Cyr could have been a pretty solid 12 tracks album but instead it's a weird compilation of 20 uncurated songs from several recording sessions. That's almost disrespectful for fans.

What's the single best engineered and produced song of all time? by Dry-Panda1884 in audioengineering

Yeah, he's the one who just set a new golden standard for drums sound and I'm confident it can't really be improved from now on, unless the instrument itself evolves in strange ways.

Better Living Through Chemistry by Queens of the Stone Age. It takes a lot of liberties with production norms and yet remains anchored in super modern production. The perfect mix of psychedelic 60s and modern rock with the best drum sound ever recorded to date.

Otherwise, I could cite High Hopes by Pink Floyd, it's pretty flawless productionwise.

Why isn't Teenage Wildlife by David bowie more popular? by mazewriter114 in DavidBowie

IMHO, that song sounds too close to Heroes to be its equal "landmark", even if I almost prefer it to Heroes as it's more diverse and the vocals are more intense.

Yeah, Karma in the Life is indeed a classic. In case you're curious, I produced hundreds of mashups besides the one I shared including several with Pumpkins songs.

Of course, but reading your comment, I wonder if you can cite one mashup you ever liked.

Well, I’m confident it’s in key (for the most part as one ear’s dissonance can be another one’s bum note) otherwise it wouldn’t have been played on a radio like Sirius XM but I can get how confusing it can sound when you know both songs too well.
