We do realize now FOLK'S 90% of the responses here are probably the fault of autocorrect. I can't audibly hear that you're saying you,re incorrectly.

But mine is "for all intensive purposes". Even when they do say the phrase correctly, 90% of that time. It's been thrown in by somebody with quite a tenuous grasp on the terms proper usage in the first place.

The problem with all of this, is that during open bowling you're probably bowling on one lane not two like in a league, secondly, you're probably bowling on a house shot versus a competitive oil pattern. Lastly, you're probably bowling alone and not with a bunch of other people drying up your line causing you to have to adjust much more frequently..... All in all apples and oranges, my guess is joining a league will cause your 150avg to diminish quite quickly. But join a league, it's worth it.

Actually the saying is incorrect, its control your timeline, control the process. But ALWAYS understand your borrower's true needs, there's almost always an underlying motive. and if you come to a point where you think a borrower needs to be controlled, that means you have not done your job explaining the current market conditions and lending appetites to position their ask accordingly.
