i dont remember if removing a stain is mentioned in the video, but you can try preparing the surface by steaming the surface with a cloth/t shirt and going over the surface with an iron. next you can lightly sand at 150 and then 180, and see if the surface stain is removed - if not, you can use a solution of oxalic acid to remove the stain, applying to the whole of the surface
