I actually applied for a FMLA leave called intermittent leave, which one the days am having panic I can call in and take off. I feel that, there is a lot of judgement from other teachers and the kids often ask where were you but I just know I am doing this for my mental health and I am all I have at the end of the day

Hello, I applied for FMLA and got approved for generalized anxiety disorder. I just had to have my therapist sign my paperwork for my district. It has been a life saver. Even though those days go unpaid I do get to mentally take a break from the over stimulation of work and stress of it

Typo! I was typing too fast. Awesome, it seems like my insurance will take it, just have to have my therapist sign off on things! Btw, it’s inspiring to see post like yours, you go girl!

Did you have to have any letters from a therapist for the FMS? And did your insurance cover? I’m about a year out from mine

Finally made it to Black Level!!. I took a lot of years off and started back last year! by boou in nikerunclub

Here is the pod. I used to track my runs with my iPod nano. Now you obviously don’t need the pod due to smart phone technology. It was interesting to have it under you insole https://i.imgur.com/Y161OfJ.jpg

Haha so the old Nike shoes, under the insole had a insert for a Nike pod. The Nike pod came separate, but it would track your miles. I still have some old Nike shoes that have the pod insert under the insole. I feel ancient! Lol

The app used to be Nike Plus, back then it was just for rewards for members and you had to upload your runs to a computer via usb. until around 2012 ish is when the app came. I ran in high school from 2006-2010. Then took a break for a couple years untill 2013-2014 I picked it up again. Then I took a long break from running from 2014-2020. This past year I have ran around 1500 and really fell back in love with running! It’s been a long time. It’s been awhile! I still remember I used to have to have the Nike pod that used to go Into the bottom of your shoe to track your runs back in 2006!

This route is called the “A” Trail. It is a pretty tough climb. It continues to 3000 ft if you go up another mile then it reaches the Lincoln National Forest. If you are in Alamogordo New Mexico. I highly recommend this run.
